After a summer break, we’re returning with a contribution that we particularly enjoy. Forest On Stasys, the newest member of the label, delivers an eclectic mix on the day that marks eight months from his debut EP on Harmony Rec.

Anna Fruit is an explorer of the universe of sounds and the relationships between music and people. A.Fruit’s music reflects her inner world and her emotional interactions with the outer world. She has been addicted to bass music production since starting over 10 years ago and now works as a professional sound designer and audio engineer, working to create sounds of the highest quality.
Anna Fruit was born in 1989 in Moscow, Russia (USSR at the time) into a Ukrainian family and is now based in Barcelona, Spain. Her passion for music began in childhood; at school, she played the guitar and sang her own songs to friends. In 2008, while studying sociology at Moscow State University, she discovered Ableton Live, and it changed her life. She started making music and decided to get a second education as a sound engineer to improve her craft. In 2012, Anna graduated from the university and simultaneously completed her certificate in audio engineering. Then, for some years, she worked as a sound technician on TV channels, in parallel with continuing to produce electronic music. A.Fruit found her 160 bpm-focused sound somewhere in between her longtime loves of drum n bass, jungle, hip-hop, and especially footwork. Her professional music career began in 2015; since then, A.Fruit has released six EPs (two of them on vinyl) and more than 30 original tracks and remixes on compilations worldwide. Her music has also appeared on labels including Med School and Hospital Records, Teklife, Hyperboloid, Worst Behavior Records, and more. Outside of her own music, A.Fruit creates sound effects and music of other genres for PC games (Gremlins, Inc., Skyforge, Pathfinder: Kingmaker, and others) and provides digital mastering for such labels as Hyperboloid (RU), Black Marble Collective (US), Pure Spark Records (JP), and others. Since 2023, Anna has also run her own YouTube channel with educational content about music production. On tours, Anna explores the world and people, delivering DJ sets that delight with a mixture of various bpm music, from footwork and jungle to dubstep, future beats, and halftime.

For this episode, Slowglide invites French producer Alohn to craft a one-hour mix, progressively shape-shifting from psych folk to minimalistic ambient to bass music. Last year, he released the Insekt EP via Lolo Batten’s traverse imprint : an hypnotic 4-tracker blending IDM, ambient & bass, in which he showed particular skills for intricate microrhythms & crispy sound design.

Madctrl is a founder form Hong Kong Music Collective Bionickle, Sub Murder, as well as a member of Zoohar and Khnum Crew. He is an music producer who focuses on researching and creating dark, industrial and abstract music elements such as Mental, IDM, Psycore, Slambient and Experimental. 

His musical compositions are full of emotion, experimentation and avant-garde consciousness. He mainly wants people to dive deeply and brain dance. Layering the sound to resonate from the body to empathy, impacting your mind and emotions, disintegrating and then repairing them one by one.
