Description: Let No Man Steal your Thyme was one of the first traditional songs I ever learnt, and I've heard at folk clubs and from other performers that this song was used as a warning for young women about the dangers of pre-marital sex. I learnt my version from the singing of Lady Maisery.

I learned Barbra Allen from the singing of the incredible Jean Ritchie, the story is of a young man who's dying because his love is unrequited. It's part of the singing tradition of the US, and I sang it at this years BBC young folk awards, where I came first.
