Jim has been playing piano since age 6. He also plays guitar, bass, harmonica, and used to play 5 string banjo and Horn in high school. He carried a Hammond organ for 20 years. He was in some important Oklahoma bands; Xebec, Flying Horse & Medicine Show. He has also backed such diverse artists as Freddy Cannon, Fenton Robinson, and Jimmy LaFave. He's jammed with Taj Mahal and The Fabulous Thunderbirds, but never been part of a famous band. He was signed to Shelter Records twice, but only recorded some demos at The Church Studio. He has played with many Tulsa Bands; Bill Davis, Gus Hardin, Don White, Pot Luck & Beggin, The Mystery Band, Wanda Watson, Polly Ess, The Windbreakers and The Oscillators. He is currently with The Zigs.
