July and August were NOT cute months for me, but recording this was such a huge release - issa wee bit moist but I channeled all the things I couldn’t express in words into sound.

SMUT Press is delighted to present the first mix of 2023 (and the tenth in our mix series) by none other than Seb Odyssey. A long time friend of the press, 2022 saw Sebastian continue to thrive behind the decks and push his brand of deep, refined House and Techno. Seb is a London-based DJ who is well known as resident at the legendary Adonis, where he plays the vast majority of parties throughout the year and recently opened last weekend for their renowned New Year’s Day party. Additionally, he presents Through Rain on Threads Radio, and recently played all night long at All My Friends, The Cause’s sister venue. 

In his own words: “These two hours are representative of a typical warm-up when I open at Adonis; starting off slow and moody, building energy and intensity over time. Playing a warm-up is always a pleasure as I get to showcase deep, intricate electronic music, which I feel doesn’t always get the appreciation it deserves! This is a one-take, vinyl-only mix, containing some of my favourite producers, 90s-00s Discogs gems and sparkling new releases alike. It’s probably my favourite mix I’ve recorded to date!”

Club Drippy is the amorphous moniker of Jonathon Freund, Chicago native and co-founder of electronic powerhouse Pixel Grip. Taking inspiration from sweaty raves, the ocean, and queer joy, Club Drippy absorbs and reflects his experiences through producing, DJing, and writing.
As resident DJ and promoter of DiSCOTHEQUE, Drippy presents his record collection with elements of synthpop, industrial, new beat, and italo for an eclectic dance floor experience.
In addition to his work with Pixel Grip and Duke Davenport, Drippy released his ambient-techno debut EP ‘Made of Silk’ in December 2020.
