Redakcja poprosiła mnie już dawno, dawno temu o przygotowanie seta, który będzie dopełnieniem wydawnictwa „30 lat polskiego techno”, w którym popełniłem felieton. Radosław Tereszczuk wykazał się ogromną cierpliwością! Nie mogąc zdecydować się na formułę owego seta - czy powinna to być antologia, a jeśli tak, to związana tylko z moim graniem, czy polską sceną ogólnie? Czy jeśli zaczynałem od grania live-act’ów powyżej 150 BPM, to tak też powinien zacząć się set? Jeśli w międzyczasie zwolniłem, i to dość mocno, nagranie również powinno to uwzględniać? A co z moim „muzycznym rozszczepieniem osobowości” - wszak moje produkcje to zarówno techno, jak i progressive, tech-house, a nawet downtempo i okolice popu. Finalnie zdecydowałem, że po prostu przedstawię „wycinek” tego, czego aktualnie można oczekiwać podczas moich występów jako DJ. Dwugodzinny set został nagrany na żywo i jak przystało na dinozaura sceny - bez użycia żadnych sync’ów czy innych automatów. Zdarzają się więc potknięcia, „zmiany zdania”, jest ta ludzka niematematyczna cząstka, którą osobiście sobie cenię. 

W tym typowo klubowym, energetycznym secie usłyszeć można utwory różnych wykonawców - mniej lub bardziej znanych; nowe i starsze, w tym trzy moje produkcje - „Monochromatic World” wydany w prowadzonej przeze mnie wytwórni Traquency Records, „Random Fail”, który ukazał się nakładem Apex Records, której właścicielem jest D.A.V.E. the Drummer oraz „I Am Losing”. Wszystkim słuchaczom życzę miłych wrażeń!

A long time ago, an editorial office asked me to prepare a DJ set to musically fulfil my contribution to the “30 lat polskiego techno” book. Radoslaw Tereszczuk was very patient! I couldn’t decide about the formula of the set - should it be an anthology, and if yes - should it be connected with my type of performing or a polish scene as a whole? How to do it - I started playing live act’s with a beat faster than 150 BPM - should I perform a set in the same tempo? In the meantime, I slowed down very much. Should a set be built in the same way? And what about my different musical personalities - on one side, I produce techno, progressive, and tech-house; on the other downtempo and even pop. Finally, I decided to show you just a tiny part of the sounds you can recently hear and expect from me during my DJ club performances. This two-hour-long set was recorded live. As a “scene dinosaur”, I did not use sync or other automatic things. That’s why you can hear mistakes and changes of narration; there is that human non-mathematical piece that I personally appreciate. 

In this club, energetic set, you can hear tracks made by various artists - more or less known; new and old ones, including three tracks produced by me: “Monochromatic World” released on my own “Traquency Records” label and “Random Fail”, published by D.A.V.E. the Drummer’s “Apex” imprint and unreleased “I Am Losing”. Jakub Rene Kosik [30 lat polskiej sceny techno]

DJ Lion started his album tour On The Verge" already on September 16
at the Berlin club Ritter Butzke. With over 300 tracks released, you
can hear his music regularly in sets of acts like Dubfire, Richie
Hawtin and Sven Väth. In 2009 Resident Advisor called him "Eastern
Europe's h hottest export“. His diverse, playful sound is a joy for
every techno enthusiast.Under his social media posts he uses the
hashtags #melodictechno and #psytechno to describe his sound. The
tracks "Accelerando" and "Psychotronic" in particular fall under the
"Psy" category. If you want to dance the night away, both tracks will
serve you well. The track Zeitgeist does what Zeitgeist usually does,
it hammers itself into our heads at 130 BPM. "Cosmic Mystery" features
this sixteenth bass run that has always characterized techno - here in
a track that seems classic. The album stands under the motto straight
forward, an ultimately danceable, driving techno with thick, biting
sub bass and selected parts that are rich in acid and progressive
influences. Anyway, the tracks are anything but dull and boring.
The album with a total of 16 tracks comes out on November 25

Très jeune, Damdam aka Madmad se passionne pour la musique électronique. A 14 ans, il découvre les soirées house et techno à la Laiterie et au Molodoi grâce à son autre passion : la technique du spectacle. À 18 ans, il achète ses premières platines et ses premiers vinyles dans le petit magasin Chicken groove et va essayer d'améliorer sa technique. En 2009, au moment de la raréfaction des dealers de vinyles à Strasbourg, il commence à découvrir le mix total digital et ses possibilités quasi infinies. 2010 sera l'année de l'investissement dans du matériel et il fera la connaissance de membres de l'association de Nancy CARTE BLANCHE qu'il intègre pour une courte période. Depuis il fait son petit bout de chemin et sera associé à quelques dates. Fin 2011, il se décide à compléter son matériel en ajoutant une petite partie live à ses sets. Il intègrera  l'association M2s ( Mangeuse de Son )  courant  2012 et ce jusqu'a fevrier 2014 et integrera en juin 2014 l'association DollySound pour qui il donne une importance particulier depuis 2006.
