Oh, the trials and tribulations that this year has seen! Now as the year comes to a close, with our dancing shoes gathering a bit of dust, we look to the new year for hope and the possibility of physically coming together in the name of music once again. In the meantime, our eyes and ears have been peeled for new sounds and rising stars. Taking center stage for this Foxcast, we present @Budakid, an upcoming talent that is making waves out of the Netherlands with an enviable release catalog. Providing us with a beautifully mellow yet uplifting mix that eases the senses and the mind, Budakid helps us smoothly navigate out of the turbulence of 2020 and into a new era.

Effervescent at times, moodier at others, this Foxcast encompasses the qualities and sentiments that Melodic House fans love most – elation, morale-boosting, the inclination to dance, darker musical twists that always return to melodic sounds, providing a euphoric elevation of the mind. One cannot help the cliché of throwing their hands in the air - even older jaded stalwarts of the dance floor have no shame in admitting so. It is quite evident that Melodic House greats like Guy J and Sasha have an intrinsic influence on Budakid’s production style and musical tastes in this carefully crafted Foxcast, which also features tracks by the likes of Joseph Ashworth, Deetron, Frankey & Sandrino, and Shiffer.

Budakid’s beginnings may not have been very different from other DJs, however, it is his music and proficiency at production that sets him apart. With sixteen releases in 2020 alone on a myriad of well-respected labels such as Anjunadeep, Armada Music, Diynamic, Exploited, Last Night on Earth, Lost & Found, and Einmusika Recordings (label of Cityfox regular Einmusik), his talent is hard to ignore. With a residency in Utrecht and gigs in 22 countries – not to mention one on the Great Wall of China - already under his belt, Budakid has become a mainstay, especially in the Melodic House realm.

Très jeune, Damdam aka Madmad se passionne pour la musique électronique. A 14 ans, il découvre les soirées house et techno à la Laiterie et au Molodoi grâce à son autre passion : la technique du spectacle. À 18 ans, il achète ses premières platines et ses premiers vinyles dans le petit magasin Chicken groove et va essayer d'améliorer sa technique. En 2009, au moment de la raréfaction des dealers de vinyles à Strasbourg, il commence à découvrir le mix total digital et ses possibilités quasi infinies. 2010 sera l'année de l'investissement dans du matériel et il fera la connaissance de membres de l'association de Nancy CARTE BLANCHE qu'il intègre pour une courte période. Depuis il fait son petit bout de chemin et sera associé à quelques dates. Fin 2011, il se décide à compléter son matériel en ajoutant une petite partie live à ses sets. Il intègrera  l'association M2s ( Mangeuse de Son )  courant  2012 et ce jusqu'a fevrier 2014 et integrera en juin 2014 l'association DollySound pour qui il donne une importance particulier depuis 2006. Techno ist das,was mir sehr viel gibt. Bin in Clubs überwiegend in Köln anzutreffen. Am besten schön mit drückendem,treibenden und steile feeling . Dunkel muss sein.Klein mit tief hängenden Decken so das dich der Bass richtig fi....kt. Also immer her mit euren geilen Sets.
