One Synth Challenge #154: Triple Cheese by u-he

I tried to make an orchestral song using ONLY Triple Cheese by U-He, which is a freeware synthesizer that doesn't not use samples. Usually for this type of song you'd use an orchestral library comprised of actual samples of people playing real instruments (which would have made this sound way better and way more real), but that wasn't the challenge here. I wanted to synthesize all the sounds and make it as real as possible. I don't think the results sound real, but it sounds better than I expected!

Briefcasemanx - God Emit (OSC 154)

It somehow feels like sacrilege to move so close to Fagen and Becker and mess it up with a dirty Switched-On-Moog lead.

But I think I made up for it by elevating  my way out of trouble by way of dreamy Lyle Maysian key changes in the chorus.

Each autumn, when the heather turned purple on the hills, the bagpipers came down from the highlands. At first, the village children heard only a faint drone, like the earth humming underfoot. They would freeze in their games, eyes wide, and scramble up into the oak trees to see better.

The sound grew, weaving and swelling, until it filled the valley like a storm of music—low drones rolling like thunder, sharp notes flashing like lightning. By the time the pipers emerged from the misted slopes, it was no longer a handful of men but an orchestra carried on the wind itself.

The villagers gathered in silence, listening. Year after year, the same mystery unfolded: a reminder that the mountains still breathed, and that the world above the clouds sent down its song to be heard.
