Following on from previous releases on Left, Right & Centre, Pressure Dome and Control Freak, Pluralist joins the Le Chatroom family with his ‘Console’ EP. The three original tracks have been floating around for the last few years, already featuring in many radio mixes and DJ sets and we are delighted to be finally releasing them on a 12” backed with a heavy remix by Djoser (3024).

Will Bowen’s productions are instantly recognisable, his expertly crafted club workouts have already led to regular support from Ben UFO, Re:ni, Ploy and landed him a monthly residency on Rinse France. Drawing from his drumming background, Will’s tracks are intricate and detailed with each element carefully placed and layered for maximum impact. With sometimes 6 or 7 percussive patterns superimposed he still manages to maintain a solid groove where other producers can struggle.

His ‘Console’ EP is some of his finest work, striking the perfect balance between utilitarian drum tracks designed for the club and actual songs with catchy vocal and tuned percussion melodies.

To close off the EP, Djoser strips the title track back leaving a more bare-bones rhythmic section, focusing on bass weight and dubbed out FX to create a sort of chuggy slo-mo DMZ vibe.

Mat Zo is one of Anjunabeats’ most celebrated artists, with tracks such as 'Easy' (with Porter Robinson), 'Rebound' (with ARTY), 'The Sky' and 'Superman' capturing the imagination of the masses. His GRAMMY-nominated debut album, ‘Damage Control’, released in 2013, gave Mat’s avant-garde approach to production its full expression. Featuring break-out hit ‘Easy’, the track took Mat mainstream: a Radio 1 A-List addition, Sirius XM BPM listing, a #1 Billboard Heatseeking record, an Essential Mix of the year nomination and, ultimately, a GRAMMY nomination for best dance and electronic recording. 

His latest studio album, ‘Illusion of Depth’, was released on the label in October 2020. The album produced singles 'The Next Chapter', 'Problems' and 'Colours'; the latter of which has garnered over eight million streams, 150k YouTube views, hundreds of national radio play-outs and was placed in the soundtrack for the 2021 racing video game Forza Horizon 5.

2022 has been a productive year for Mat. Riding the 'Illusion of Depth' wave, Mat collaborated with Above & Beyond on the warehouse techno-infused single 'Always Do', released in March. Remarkably, 'Always Do' was the first time the two acts had officially collaborated. However, they have creatively crossed paths: a decade prior, Mat remixed A&B and Richard Bedford’s ‘Thing Called Love’.

A formidable live performer, Mat joined us at our label showcases in London, Miami and New York, plus Above & Beyond's Group Therapy Weekender festivals at The Gorge Amphitheatre and Dockyards London. A busy summer of touring culminated in a frenzied performance at A&B's sold-out Group Therapy 500 celebrations at Banc of California Stadium, Los Angeles.

In a surprise end-of-year treat for fans, Mat has returned with his first solo production on Anjunabeats in over two years. 'Astatine' is another explosive addition to his catalogue, ahead of more new music arriving on the label in 2023.

"Astatine came about while experimenting with bass sounds. What ended up happening was the whole meat of the track came from one synth patch at a time. The bass, harmonics and lead sounds all come from the same MIDI note playing through one instance of my favourite soft synth." - Mat Zo

Rounding off the year on Redstone Press, Debba comes correct with a varied four-tracker laden with hefty subs and lock-tight percussion.

The A-side starts out with fast-paced staccato kicks and the oscillating, warped bassline of ‘Called Up’. These elements soon develop into a twisted, energetic romp, showing Debba’s innate knack for upfront, low-end percussive work. Continuing with this theme ‘Direction’ adds reverb-drenched vocals to the mix and ups the bass weight, with gritty, looping subs throughout. These two will put that soundsystem you’re dreaming of playing on, to the test!

The B-side is more restrained and meditative but retains the heavy subs, opening with the downtempo and introspective chords of ‘I Said’. The drop in pace gives Debba’s signature beatwork and melodic flourishes space to breathe with the dreamy synths of ‘Subtle’ building up, then breaking down into a low-slung UK Techno roller.

The debut EP  Berlin Bunny “Maneki Neko” [ITR027] on I-Traxx Recordings - besides the original experimental industrial track consists also of 3 remixes by some of artist’s favourite electronic music production inspirations : Belgian rave sound master Ethan Fawkes, raw and uncompromising electrifying harsh banger of Unmasked London resident Evil Dust, solid electro pounding track by Dave Inox. 

The Maneki-neko (招き猫), literally meaning "beckoning cat", is a common Japanese figurine talisman, which is often believed to bring good luck to the owner.  The name of the EP  is granted by the artist’s temporary residency in Shenzhen, China, where also her focus on production of this release has started.

Berlin Bunny is a project focused on dj and music production, which it’s name granted the VJ / Animation project in which the artist was involved. Born in Poland, but currently based in Berlin. She is the co-creator of Dark Disco.org music platform, where she is promoting the EBM / wave / techno / electro / new beat / idm sound with disco vibe - sharing weekly podcasts & organising parties few times a year in Berlin and recently during her tour also in Asia - mainly in Oil, Shenzhen - in Saferoom, Bangkok. 
In her recent Asia tour she played in over 15 gigs in China,  South Korea, Japan, Thailand, Hong Kong, Taiwan having pleasure to dj in the underground venues and parties like for example Volnost Club in Seoul, New Year Celebration in Oil Club in Shenzhen, Dada Club in Beijing, Dada Club in Shanghai, Vinyl House in Xi’an & Shenzhen, Safe Room in Bangkok, HER queer positive event in Taipei & in cities like Nanjing, Hangzhou, Hong Kong, Osaka.
Her style has a strong punk, industrial, alternative music background, where her danceable and eclectic mixes contain a combination of modern electronic techno sounds and retro electro/synth wave vibes strongly inspired by Berlin‘s underground scene. Her selection of music  is going over the boundaries touching such genres like new wave, EBM, new beat, post punk and some old school and trashy sounds from the 90's or 80’s.

Across expansive dunes, endless footsteps mark the ancestral path, leading the way to the basilica of the Bedouin. A pilgrimage only taken every seventy years, their single living leader the slowest of the camp. Beneath the unforgiving Saharan sun, the only moisture for miles is the sweat which now evaporates from their skin like mist, clothes sticking to every crevice of the body. The nature of the journey is one of spirit; no room for cynicism when higher powers lead the charge.

Out on London-based Panel Audio, the label’s latest comes in the form of a remix release of their latest release, JV & Palf’s T4 EP. Across the four remixed tracks, each artist adds their own style to an already eclectic mix of originals. From more ominous ends of the techno spectrum to minimal dubstep, the release has something for everybody. Our pick is Pluralist’s take on ‘En Route’, a mirage of a track seething with Middle-Eastern promise, with syncopated drum fills and vocal samples littered throughout.

I am breathing electronic music since late 70s and that's over 45 years now. From Kraftwerk, Jean Michel Jarre, Mike Oldfield, Depeche Mode, Erasure, Yazoo, Alphaville, Men without Hats, Nitzer Ebb, Die Krupps, Front 242, Anne Clark, Camouflage, Gary Numan, OMD, Apopytygma Berzerk and even the Commodore 64 demo & break dance scene to more contemporary Electronic music artists, I witnessed the evolution of Electronic music, which basically means I am an old fart and consider myself an authority in this music genre 😵 Currently I listen DnB almost exclusively. But I do not like to restrict myself at all, enjoying flavors like Electronica, Trance, Psytrance, Tech House, Dubstep, Deep House, Future Pop, Trap, Techno, UK Bass and of course EBM/Industrial as well.

What you will find in my likes and playlists is the top of the crop in Electronic Music, I will  absolutely not list any bullshit. A track I have not listed might be just that: Bullshit, just mediocre or an artistic gem which I haven't discovered yet.
