When Fabian received his first cassette tapes of Sven Väth, Underworld and the Wighnomy Brothers, at the age of 12 years, he immediately realized that even though he was unable to articulate what was going on, his feelings were strongly influenced by this music.
Following these encounters he started fanatically collecting and listening to records, until he made his first trip to the Loveparade in Berlin in 2006. This experience left a lasting impression, and he realized that his connection to electronic music was stronger than ever before.
A dream came true when Fabian founded Monopolar in 2015; friends became members of a closely-knit music community and acquaintances turned into friends. Next to organizing a variety of electronic music events in his hometown of Rudolstadt, Fabian also started DJing and through that set out on a journey of findings his own emotional style and sound. Strongly influenced by music, and the collaboration with close friends, Fabian at times also creates his own tracks, some of which were already released on Deepwithyou Recordings. 
He has now joined Traum Schallplatten with the track „Lunar“ onthe Tour De Traum series and releases his debut solo Ep „ Lava“ in January 2019 on Traum Schallplatten.
Fabian uses his DJ sets to tell stories and to share events that occurred in his life with his audience, and he believes there is no better medium for him to articulate his thoughts and feelings.
In doing so he gives free rein to the many genres and facets of Techno, allowing a free flow instead of clearly defining his style. From soft and melodic soundscapes, to subtle background details, and deep and heavy baselines, all these are part of Fabian’s musical story telling. Longstanding musical experience merges with a fine-tuned sensibility for expressing emotions to create an intriguing and sometimes mad entity that brings you spellbinding electronic music.

Hailing from the Spanish mainland is a sound that’s resonating globally thanks to a select choice of producers that have been able to create their own path after years of honest and competent work. A notable character from that sub-culture of game changers is Marc Martinez Nadal, aka AFFKT, who consecrated a music career and has been a driving force behind a vivid & empowering sound that is refined by his drive for perfection. He feels in deeply in communion with sounds that range from the most energetic techno to the most detailed and multi-coloured electronica.  

Having worked on coining the sound of this alias since 2008, it has been a plethora of sound, place, person & culture that has provided a platform for AFFKT to experiment with his output. Serving huge electronic crossover masterpieces that derive into the many sub-genres of house music via key imprints such as Culprit, Tronic, Suara, Kittball and his very own Sincopat label, and expressing versatility digging deep into his influences of sounds by delivering heart-stopping, engaging techno on the likes of Octopus, Noir Music – NM2, Selador, Natura Sonoris, Exploited… AFFKT is committed to a life of synthesis and this is what sets himself apart from a comparatively shallow glance at dance music. 

Within its versatility is that of working with other musicians. As a result, the fantastic teamwork generated with the vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Sutja Gutierrez. This synergy can be discovered in their just amazing live performances. 

Once described as a “Son of a Thousand Sounds” - precisely the title he chose for his latest and highly acclaimed, even award-winning LP-, AFFKT is in constant evolution in his career where he has surpassed expectation and enjoyed praise from his peers. Cutting through the ranks, his path has retained essences of so many that have influenced him; but now sits shoulder to shoulder in skill & presence.

Fortsetzung deep story nr. 133

Ein Nebelschleier legt sich über meine Wahrnehmung. Das Weiß der winterlichen Landschaft nimmt die Farben des Regenbogens an und ich fühle wie die Welt aufhört sich zu drehen. Die Zeit streckt sich und mein überforderter Geist scheint sich zu öffnen. Eine Minute scheint sich auf Stunden auszudehnen. Die erlebte Zeit und die vergehende Zeit existieren nicht mehr im Gleichschritt. Ihre per Naturgesetz vorgegebene Kongruenz scheint sich aufzulösen. Der Verstand wird zugleich beschleunigt wie verlangsamt. Dabei wird das Zeitgefühl so sehr betäubt, dass das Betrachten des extrem gestreckten Geschehens der Darbietung eines Zauberkünstlers ähnelt. Es stürzt das Denken und Wahrnehmen in innere Widersprüche. Die Sinne bemühen sich, alles besonders genau wahrzunehmen, zu erkennen, wo der Schwindel liegt. Das Hirn dreht sich im Kreis und sucht für das Geschehene ein Erklärungsmodell. 
Im Rückblick dieser Minuten, verbindet sich das Geschehen irgendwann mit dem eignen Befinden in diesen Moment. Mit der Umgebung, der Stimmung, dem flimmernden Licht. Übrig bleibt ein Polaroid der Gefühlswelt, welches die Erinnerung bestimmt. Nichts kann ich im Nachhinein mit Gewissheit sagen. Nur Gefühle lassen sich wieder ins Gedächtnis rufen. 
Wie lange ich weggetreten war, lässt sich in meinem Kopf nicht mehr rekonstruieren. Es können Minuten oder Tage gewesen sein. Mir kam es vor wie ein Jahr. Grelles Licht brennt in meinen Augen und meine Gliedmaßen lassen sich nicht bewegen.

Lasst euch von Doncler mitnehmen auf einen Trip in das Unterbewusstsein. Einen Ort, in der Zeit relativ ist.
