Resident wayfarers Sparrow & Barbossa return to MoBlack Records, along with one of the label's reigning songstresses, Nomvula and Goya-nominated griot Cherif Badua on strings. Proponents of immersive sonic voyages, the musical storytellers propel even deeper with Nomvula’s lyrical prowess and the Kora maestro's permeating strums at the crux. A gift that keeps on giving, 'Amore Profondo' is complemented with three distinctive reinterpretations by a cast of talented remixers. Starting off, Mpumalanga’s Caiiro revels in the ubiquity of 'Amore Profondo' at first beat, drifting its lush vocals into mesmeric rhythms and rapturous melodies. Mozambican artists Breeze and the Sun and Neil Amarey join in to deliver a compelling rendition that marries riveting instrumentals, spirited Afro grooves and transcendent plangencies. Milan's Ivory helms the dark side of 'Amore Profondo,' undulating robust basslines through sharp syncopations, incisive timbre and esoteric nuances - voltaic but 'amore' nonetheless. Rounding out the EP, the original mix gleams with luminous harmonic stratas. A mélange of sensual Latin instruments, vigorous drum patterns and tender melodies, 'Amore Profondo' is a lasting dancefloor ballad that echoes eternal solace through faith, requited devotion through grace, and redemption through soul-driven motion. As &MEs last two EPs on Keinemusik have been hitting the bulls eye of public perception immediately, his KM034 for sure will meet high expectations from DJs and crowd alike. What should one do within this sort of spotlight? Boil up the same old formula? Milk the cow? Play it safe? Well, &ME is rather going for the dont overthink it and just do whatever you like-option. Which in case of this "One On One"-EP is a collaborative effort with English singer/songwriter-enigma Fink thats letting musicality rule over functionality.
The titletrack on A comes creeping over the floor like an ash cloud. Built up on a grainy beat-pattern, having all lightness dashed out by droning bass, before Finks vocals are exorcising the ghosts of a heavy comedown. "One On One" has shaken off the facility of peaktime-consensus, before the straight kick comes in, but even that unmistakeable floor-referral is invalidated by gloomy harmonies after just a few bars. An obvious move against leadsingle-standards, but considering its omnipresent dark narrative and ultimately condensed vibe, "One On One" is without a doubt one of the strongest &ME cuts ever.
The offering on B1 might be considered as a bit more handy, but still: "Cape Coast" is rather grooving along a serious jungle-delirium than delivering easygoing beach-pleasure. A lot of hissing and chirping and rattling going on in between dense synth- and bass-layers, while live-recorded percussions are escalating into frenzy. Tribalhouse of a rather demonic breed.
Finally, Fink is stripping down the original outline of "One On One" into a sinister and subtle Dub-interpretation on B2. Blurred delays, sparse synths and occasionally implemented kick-detonations, reminding of an alarmingly lowered RHR. Meaning even wider room for his charisma breathing croon.

Up first is Enoo Napa, who grew up in Umlazi, one of Durban’s largest and most creative townships, which is also considered among the most musically inspired parts of South Africa. Enoo Napa leans heavily towards Afro Tech, and does so like no other. For good reason Black Coffee recently signed him to his Soulistic inprint and is featuring his music in sets all over the world. Enoo Napa turns Hyenah’s original track into a dark, ever-growing piece of energy. Stripped to its foundation, in trademark style Enoo Napa’s remix allows a powerful warmth to grow throughout. Madorasindahouse Records is back again with a three - tracker from the South African rising - star Argento Dust. Being already featured on Shimza’s “All Alone”, and on Black Coffee’s Sonar Compilation, Argento has already gained support from Black Coffee himself, Hyenah, Djeff and many more. 
Keeping the balance between afro and modern house music, Argento uses cowbells, vocal hooks, and strings to set things off with “We Are Not Afraid”. “Jungle Book”, does what the title promises: makes you feel like you are lost in a dancefloor somewhere in the jungle, while “Voice Mail” is a modern take on Lil’ Louis’ I Called U.

Midi Minds Kenya in conjunction with The Safari Collection, Backdrop Agency & Madorasindahouse travelled to Samburu National Conservancy to capture and highlight the musical identity of the Samburu warriors, women and children, in the form of a song based sample pack, a documentary format video, and a Various Artists music compilation (VA). 
This project is set out to raise awareness, financial ability and cultural highlight towards the Samburu tribe and community, through using selected Recordings for the production of this 19-track compilation. It features productions by Laolu, Armonica, Da Capo, Caiiro, Shimza, Sifa, Umami, KEENE, Klement Bonelli, XtetiQsoul and many more, as well as local Kenyan talent, such as Suraj, Saint Evo, Foozak & Dylan-S. 
After visiting the Westgate area of Samburu, and discussions with the community leaders, we found the most common day to day issue they face is lack of educational infrastructure. We firmly believe that this is a cause worth advocating for.
The community is not able to establish a sustainable educational system and that is why part of the proceedings will go towards building a class-room in the primary school and provide sustainable contributions to the teachers fund. The whole process will be part of a documentary that will be released along with the Compilation, in an event held in Nairobi, Kenya on the 30th of November 2019.
