What started as a chilly overcast Sunday afternoon in San Francisco this summer, blossomed into a full sunny dance floor, filled with good vibes and smiles. This is one of those extended sets where we really just flowed, went up, down, left, right, center, and back around again musically. The past 18 months (since the last time I posted my Fusion recording) have been truly memorable for me, with many unforgettable experiences all over the world, new places, new friends and above all some amazing support along the way. I am grateful to have this opportunity to travel around the world to stages where I can expose my music. 

One of the key moments came back on April 1st when I closed DGTL Amsterdam’s Frequency Stage. I was exhilarated throughout, and I felt that I achieved a very strong connection with the people that were there that day. So much, so that I decided to go back to my studio to record the set again, so that I could share it with everyone once more here. Thank you to everyone that let this set come alive. Anatolian Weapons - Rahim

It was 2010 when Massimiliano Pagliara and Discodromo got together and started working on Costellazione K78. It’s finally time to reveal this piece of  italo-cosmic beauty landing on Cocktail d’Amore Music.
The spaceship starts off and a vocoder announces the destination. In the middle of the track there is an interference…Is that a hole? Oh right they are out of it! Going higher, higher…higher through space-time. 
B side is taken by a dub version where drums play the main role. Everything is condensing together, it feels like connection is lost, but the bass line comes in and takes control. Destination reached, time to celebrate.
Thank you guys for the efxapella, we’ll all do good use of it.

I always found it challenging to record a studio podcast: my analytical mind is trying to calculate every move, evaluate each transition & criticize the selection. I have time, music & equipment at my disposal, but one key element is missing to really tell a story: humans.

I encountered that problem last weekend. Although I was playing music I enjoy, I felt that my technically structured mix was too stiff and impersonal. 

____

Then, some of my favourite humans turned up at the studio. As Ashley, Apolline, Axel & Robin entered the room, the studio was suddenly filled with a great energy & I felt like pressing the rec button again, just for fun - this is when the first minutes of  S y m b i o s e  were captured.

I feel this studio mix is an authentic representation of the energy levels I like to navigate through during a longer set. It features some of my favourite tracks in a nod to the past but also has a touch of the future; new sounds that are moving me forward & some of my new compositions.

I’m happy to share this mix as I’m taking off for Argentina, what marks my first adventure of the decade. This music session brought me clarity, presence & joy! I hope you'll resonate with it.

Feeling quite inverted. flipped. reversed and pulled. fleshed out. kind of as if we're suspended in some virtual space that is starting to feel more n more real.

We left Berlin to go on tour last August and we still haven't found our way back to living in the same city. Torn away by personal tragedies and unforeseen stories. All with a dose of corona as the cherry on top. It's been difficult but in some ways we are feeling more inspired than ever.

Today our inversion is reaching new peaks as Behnam is heading to the base and his love in Berlin and I am working and spending time with my beloved in nature before finding my way back also.
.
During this time musically we've focused on giving proper love to each of our releases. But now we come to you with a longly overdue set that clinches a moment of where our hearts and minds have been. So take it all in and lean in. Much love from both of us to you.

Madota is the musical lovechild of urban shepherds Behnam & Mehran. Iranian by birth, Canadian by upbringing, these two have come a long way from their own journeys before reuniting in Berlin.

Realistically they didn't start playing the ukulele at the tender age of 3 nor did they buy their first drum machine in kindergarten. What we know is that their deeply rooted love for electronic music led them to storm Vancouver's nightlife as DJs since 2011. This in turn prepared them to start their experimentation with making music that pulls influences from their hyphenated backgrounds. Today they embody a sound capturing their lust for soulful elements coupled with their itch for darker grooves.

Their music has already taken them to perform in renowned parties such as Garbicz Festival in Poland, Acidcase x Mayan Warrior in Berlin, Stereobar in Montreal, Katerblau in Berlin, OFF Sonar in Barcelona, ZERO in NYC and Woomoon in Ibiza.
