A little bit of fun.

Mixed 100% in the box. No samples or tricks, just mixing.

The aim of this mix was to create something that sounded and felt live, but would sound good on any/all listening devices, not just on large speakers which is typical of a live mix. Lots of vibe, lots of distortion, and I tried to get it nice and bright like the original track, though with plenty of mid-range presence. I didn't really want it to sound exactly like the original though, because the original has a vibe all on its own and this track should too.

The track's vocals were particularly difficult to manage because of the bleed from the room, since I wanted to add a fair amount of distortion and also wanted the vocals to sit comfortably beside the guitar/bass without them sounding overwhelmed by the guitar's energy. I also allowed a little bit of imbalance on the stereo field to make it a little more interesting.

I mixed it in the box on a Windows 10 laptop with Cubase Pro 10 using stock and Waves plugins. Mixed on Sennheiser HD600 headphones. It was my very first time I was checking the mix also using the new Waves Abbey Road Studio 3 room simulation plugin. I think this plugin is useful for those of us, who don't have a million dollar studio :-)

I LIKE THE LEWITT MICS!!! 
My first experience and I can see myself buying those mics in the future. That wurst track was interesting too. Also my first experience. 

I did try the attached Polarizer plugin, but I ended up not using it. I just split the overhead stereo track into 2 monos and worked with those. I am not saying this plugin is not useful. I think it's interesting, but I just didn't feel like I was ready to use it here with no previous experience.

No drums samples or additional arrangements, just the original tracks from the package.

I didn't fix things except for one detail: I increased the tempo of the first Hammond part and then went back to the original tempo, because for me, that tempo slow down of the Hammond right after the intro drum part felt like a bummer. It was triggering a major OCD in me, lol :) so I fixed that.
