🔥FINAL CRASH UPDATE / Oct. 25/23🔥 - When I originally tackled "Dilapidated Town," I wanted to make it more groovy and accessible, as I felt the original was a bit too "bippity-boppity" with its PSG chip elements. Some piano here, an appropriately simplistic saxophone there, and voila...an expansion that compliments the original, while sounding totally unique unto itself.

NOTE: This is the "Final Crash" edition of the song, in reference to the last time I will be touching the original SOR soundtracks. I now consider them totally complete.

Dilapadated Town (Expanded & Enhanced) - STREETS OF RAGE

🔥FINAL CRASH UPDATE / Oct. 25/23🔥 - "Beatnik On The Ship" is one of the more simple songs in the original Streets of Rage soundtrack, but I didn't want to get too complex when I created my expansion. Rather, I wanted to build on the straightforwardness of the track with a few more elements that kept the song focused and tight. Less is more, and I'm happy with how it sounds.

NOTE: This is the "Final Crash" edition of the song, in reference to the last time I will be touching the original SOR soundtracks. I now consider them totally complete.

Beatnik On The Ship (Expanded & Enhanced) - STREETS OF RAGE

🔥FINAL CRASH UPDATE / Oct. 25/23🔥 - "Stealthy Steps" is one of the tracks I am most proud of. The original song was very simple, very light in terms of content, and didn't really have much going for it. My expansion was intended to make it seem as if the original song was but an intro for what's to come, and I think I've achieved that here. It references Yuzo Koshiro's original composition at every turn, while amplifying it with an expansion that builds, and Builds...and BUILDS...before circling back again. I love it, and no matter how many times I hear it, it still brings a smile to my face.

Stealthy Steps (Expanded & Enhanced) - STREETS OF RAGE

🔥FINAL CRASH UPDATE / Oct. 25/23🔥 - "Big Boss" references elements of the original Boss theme of Streets of Rage, while also foreshadowing "Revenge of Mr. X" from Streets of Rage 2. For that reason, I wanted to create an expansion for this song that A) stood on its own as a wholly unique add-on that compliments the original, and B) lays down some references to SOR2's final Boss theme. This is a more dance-infused take on the song, which is appropriate for SOR1.
