Flurries of playful butterflies, bubbling streams or fields of flowers on a hot summers’ day? Like mini dreams you can’t escape? Tiny flashes of a life that once was? Did that life ever really exist? 

This is the essence that lies within the music of Curio. It will take you on a capricious dream ride of fantastic realms where the lines of reality become obscure and the enthusiastically hopeful sounds of the 80’s forever live on. 

Each song included in this 10 track album is based on a real life personal childhood memory and almost all of the songs in the album include a personal short story in the song descriptions that inspired the tracks.

About this track: This track is my own darkwave twist on Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake Suite Op. 20. The main theme is integrated throughout the song and intertwined is my own original composition throughout.
I chose this particular classical song because it's one of the first I remembered from watching old horror movies, since I grew up with the 1930's Dracula movie and they even added it to the old Mummy movie as well back in the day. It was a theme for sombre, dark horror and it's always reminded me of the gothic era of horror which I've always loved and try to bring to my own darker compositions. 
This song is called prologue because it's meant to symbolize a melancholic type innocence just the way it did in those old horror movies. Prologue in greek means "before" and that's what it stands for here. Before the darkness, before the fire, before the pain. Where it all began... before Infernum burned them all.

About the Album: The entire album "Infernum" is a gothic horror Darkwave album inspired by the death of innocence. Like a fire, the hunger, lust, evil consumes us. It burns everything within us and always craves more. It strips us of our will and we consciously follow its vile biddings. Our innocence is the sacrificial lamb, unknowingly being lead slowly to the slaughter. 
Infernum is a melodic journey that will lead you through the death of innocence & ends with a note of Risorgimento ("rising again") beyond that death, beyond the grave in the hopes of one day avenging this metaphysical murder.

Epica  was created in an ambition to capture some of those nostalgic cinematic feelings, is in honor of the memorable 80's movie magic and is wholeheartedly dedicated to the places we all travel to in our minds that are fueled by these reminiscent melodic landscapes. 

This cinematic Synthwave album has been in the making since the spring of 2022. I've really taken my time with it to curate and develop the musical journey of this album. It was a labor of love because it was so important to me to get everything as perfect as possible on this one. It's been in my musical vision to produce this album for a long, long time and it's so great to be able to finally put it out into the world. I hope you all enjoy Epica! I hope it takes you on a journey and I hope you love it as much as I loved creating it! Thanks for listening!

Help Me Forget (Piano-String Version)

Track 2 from Maestro Eternal's Valkyrie

Though the album and the name really has nothing to do with the traditional aspect of the Valkyries, the idea of this song sprouted from the myth of the Valkyries. 
In ancient Norse mythology, the Valkyries were powerful warriors that were like the grim reapers of the battle field. They would choose who lived and who died. They would also choose who would get to go to Valhalla (or Heaven). They were the embodiment of Fate. In this song, I imagine a person watching, waiting, lingering to make their move on someone who has harmed them. Like a strategic warrior on a battlefield. Being consumed by vengeance and pain. 
Those silent moments when you’re alone and your thoughts are like white noise in your head. Those silent moments when you’re consumed by the stories of the past that you tell yourself, replaying them over and over and over until you have to do something about them. 
In these moments is where Fate is watching. Melding that concept of the Valkyries into how a person projects blame on an offender and is going to pounce at any moment. Those moments are the deciding Fate of us all.

This song is meant to stand for an alternate type ending or meaning that if you were to NOT choose to save yourself from pain, it continues. Vengeance, hate, anger is like a never-ending cycle of pain, destruction, regret. Like a hellish limbo. 
The cycle of reliving those moments almost become stagnate and reoccurring because you can’t move on. Even if you think you’ve become a different person and gotten passed your pain, you’re really just putting on a mask of someone else while hiding the pain and the suffering of the past.
