Sometimes it’s not so easy to go your own way. I know that from my own experience. It’s very rare that the people around us stand in our way. For me, it was my own beliefs that I carried into adulthood, shaped by my childhood experiences and upbringing. Ultimately, this led me down paths that ended in dead ends. I probably could have avoided many wrong turns if I had recognized earlier what was preventing me from following my own path. But sometimes it’s not that simple. That’s what inspired me to write this instrumental.

Abrão - The Tropical Magician.

Abrao, which means Abraham in Portuguese,
was born in 1963, in Sao Paulo, Brazil,
growing up in the 60s, in the jewish ghetto of Sao Paulo.

Abrão, which had a big lust for life,
was struggling with society rules,
and wanted to push new borders.

He was the lead singer of the underground post-punk band "Kafka",
performing a lot in the Sao Paulo area during the 80's.
He left the band, and travelled for a psychedelic musical research to India.
In 1997 he wanted to try and start a new life so he moved to Israel.

Also known as the mysterious voice behind the vocal productions of Red Axes,
such as Papa Sooma, Caminho de Dreyfus, Waiting for a surprise,
Sabor and many more.

So now, after several years of intensive touring and recording,
performing already on festivals such as Sonar and Primavera and many more, 
releasing on labels such as Correspondant, Crosstown Rebels, Multi Culti, and more.

Abrao will debut his first solo EP produced by Red Axes,
and released on their own imprint, Garzen Records.

@listentosafetalk are a new Anglo-French trio who mix electronica, pop and psychedelia, and released their debut single and "cosmic hymn" 'Universal' back in March. On Friday they're releasing three great remixes of that track, and we're premiering one from UK acid dons @posthuman.

While the original track is a gorgeous little pop nugget - imagine a heady blend of Simple Minds, Future Islands and Tame Impala - Posthuman have gone for broke and turned it into a 10-minute acid trance epic. Their remix kicks off with frighteningly efficient piston-like drums before lowering down a screen of floaty, sci-fi synths. Somehow it calls to mind the Mars rover, cutting a lonely, trundling figure across the Red Planet. The second half is more combustible when the gurgling acid kicks in, providing a counterpoint to the affected, pop-ready vocals.
