The 'Turn Around' EP is one that's been in the works for some time and its accompanying remix is one of the most anticipated tracks of 2014. If you've been to see the likes of Dixon, Mano Le Tough, Solomun, Maceo Plex or Tale Of Us recently then you will have heard it, loved it, and wanted it.

The mesmerising Âme remix has been gliding its way round sound systems across the globe since the start of the year and it's no surprise as to why. The perfect end of set track, it enchants its way through eight minutes of euphoric vocals, grand synths, astounding builds and simply gorgeous drops.

We reckon its one of the best tracks of the year and you can listen to it for the first time in full.

Also the gruff 45’s collector must now and again lay the club down or rather not even let it out of the bag. This is order that the wild soul doesn’t shrivel from too much marching. With compositions between euphoria and thoughtfulness belongs Ian Simmonds to those of a discreet and sweet- mannered crazy, who is more apt for a social case worker to rip off an extremity than do something against his own sensibilities. 

Auch der ruppigste Plattenunterhalter muss dann und wann auch mal den Knüppel aus der Hand legen bzw. gar nicht erst aus dem Sack lassen, damit die wilde Seele vor lauter Marschrempelei nicht ganz schrumpelig wird. Mit Kompositionen zwischen Euphorie und Nachdenklichkeit gehört Ian Simmonds zu den eigenständig-liebenswürdigen Musikverrückten, die sich vom Hartz-IV-Fallmanager lieber ein Bein ausreißen ließen, als etwas zu machen, was dem eigenen Empfinden zuwider liefe.

Isolée’s Arrival

When three people run a label together it is exceptionally rare to find a positive unified opinion of a record upon first listen. When Isolée sent his "Mangroove" EP to Maeve, this was in fact what happened. But it is Isolée after all....

Mangroove came about last summer when The Drifter happened to catch Isolée's live set at a festival in Switzerland. Instantly blown away by the A side "Pisco" he was determined to find out what it was and if it was to be released. After chatting, Isolée suggested that he would send "Pisco" along with a couple of other "demos" to Maeve and a few days later the EP was happening.

Isolée has created some of the most important and beautiful records of our generation and has being a huge influence on what we do, thus we are incredibly excited and humbled to release his work.

This three track EP shows several different sides of the Frankfurt native, from the A-side dance floor catalyst that is "Pisco" to the deeper dubbier B-sides of "L5 Syndrome" and "Mangrove". This is the perfect record to mark our tenth release.

Maeve are thrilled to welcome long time friend Kev Sheridan to the label for his debut release. Kev is one of the most talented musicians we know and its an honor for us to release his first work to the world. This project has been developing over the past few years and now we have a record we feel showcases the deep musicality and talent Kev has.

Although not sounding like a typical Maeve dance floor record, the A side entitled "Alone in Berlin" is a stunningly beautiful piece of music. Its measured melancholic flow creates a shared empathy between listener and composer.

"Wash Over Me" is the B1, and with it comes a change of pace moving into a broken beat rhythm but still maintaining the emotion of the A side. Haunting pads hang over clean staccato percussion creating an overall euphoric vibe.

"Losing Someone Is Never Easy" is the final track on the EP. This straight up house cut again shows Sheridans deep musicality using a wide range of instruments to weave a beautiful tapestry made for special dance floor moments.

12 months after the debut album of Piotr Bejnar was released, we achieved gathering 4 remixes from this album. Piotr turned to the artists he most admired and who stated for him as great authorities. The record starts with a beautiful remix of the song "Bagieta" made by Ada from Pampa records. Second track is a dance version of the "Jellyfish" made by Piotr Bejnar himself. The third artist on the record is Piotr's idol from many years - Frivolous. To this one Piotr stood up to since childhood as a long- term fan of Frivolous, buying his albums and tracking his path. And now as for the crowning of the record - stands an artist closely related to Otake records – Kalipo with a total dance floor banger remix of “Jellyfish”

From tomorrow you will find records in most Polish vinyl stores. From next week we launch foreign distribution. Vinyls will be available on decks, juno, etc.

The object was beautifully enhanced by the glowing rays of light which shone down upon the crystal glass frame. Inside the 3d print was taking shape and soon a brand new weapon woud be presented before their very eyes. This was to be the beginning of the revolution - a new era in which anyone could have anything at the touch of a simple button. The dark room watched with a wide eyed sense of suspense and intrigue. This was like nothing that they had ever seen before...

The stars flickered and flashed up above against a dense backdrop of black, they were far away from the glow of the street lights and as such were able to see clearly the glowing embers of life far away. The desert night was still but for the soft blowing breeze and the occasional cry of a bird in the distance far away. It was haunting, ethereal and yet uniquely comforting to know that there was not a soul who could touch them out here beneath the fog of a galaxy of glimmering stars. 

XDB is set to release his debut album via Dial Records as they celebrate twenty years in business. The label has come a long way and has made many friends over the years of whom Kosta Athanassiadis is one.
