It all started while dancing to house and techno music at Iowa's legendary Old Brick Church in 1994. The nights were endless, the bass was loud &amp; the purpose was evident.
Fast forward to 1999...
A decision was made that dancing until the sun came up just wasn't enough to keep one content. Shane Bader purchased a pair of turntables and engulfed himself in a state of bedroom DJ'ing that would soon plant the seed for a lifetime of passion and dedication to a music that is understood only by those that are in the minority.
In 2000 Shane moved to Iowa City from Cedar Rapids and began mixing at parties both big and small. He spent time collaborating with the 'who's who' movers and shakers of the local electronic scene while honing his skills and building the foundation that is the base of the DJ that he is today. He incorporates a wide variety of house and techno into his sets with a tight focus on creating a dancefloor soundscape that is heavily remminiscent of the vibe you can find while dancing in his current hometown of Chicago.

I started mixing back in 1992. An original vinyl selector from the first wave of the Midwest Rave Scene. Using a fine blend of organic and analog sounds with classic & new tracks, I'm your late night beatmix master laying down the deep get lost in it mixes.

If you’ve got as strong of convictions as Pete Board does when it comes to techno purism, then you’d better have the skills to backup your words. Fortunately for him, his ear for dark, introspective soundscapes coupled with his technical prowess both in the studio and behind the decks qualifies him to maintain such strong opinions.

In 2012, he formed a production company called Mad Scientists Productions with DJ/producer Colin Cook. Under his side project with Cook, Bebop Amalgamation, Board was booked to play Techno Revolution 2 - an official Movement pre party in 2014. Soon after he also relocated and started gigging in Colorado at SeifhauS’ 2Deep2Sleep series in addition to the numerous events comprising Chicago house legend Paul Anthony’s We Jack brand.  In November of 2015, Mad Scientists Productions even made its Colorado debut with an event called Foundation at warehouse venue Ekō House in no small part due to Board’s vision and consistency.  In June of 2016 Board kicked off his summer tour in Europe.  Board then continued his tour in the United States playing over the midwest including Even Furthur.  In 2017 Board as once again returned to Europe and most recently become the newest promoter for Beta Nightclub

In regards to his music itself, Board has delivered a respectable Kinesis Records debut with his ep Voices” - as well as releases on Ekvilibrium Recordings and A Squared Muzik.  He has since had a strong release on Vancouver based Subspec Music.

During a Pete Board performance, the groove is paramount. Dissonant melodies and cacophonous incidentals might make each mix a visceral exploration of the four-four format, but by counterbalancing them with sexy, danceable cuts he renders each successive track a new chapter in a journey through the subversive depths of the dark beat.

The musical vibrations of Antonio Ocasio’s Tribal Winds thrives off of an infectious breed of raw Afro-Latin Jazz and deep house music. The heavy percussion and conga rhythms naturally speak to Antonio’s ancestral roots. 

His years of experience as a Producer and DJ have led to a lethal combination of ingenious musicianship and aspiring productions. As a prominent storyteller, Antonio pays homage to his upbringing by spinning tales of musical tradition and experience, taking the dancer through peaks and valleys, building anticipation with every turn of the record.
