Melbourne party troupe, Animals Dancing return with the label’s sixth disc, Psytube; a mind-melting trip from Lyon duo, The Pilotwings. 

The synth-heavy house pair, synonymous with the BFDM label channel their digi synth euphoria into trance not trance and acid atmospheres across a four track EP. 

From the subtle breaks and pan flute/acid combo of Trance En Aubrac, steady synth flutter of Future Glouglou to the full tilt restless psychedelia of Yakado and cinematic acid stepping Gig in the Ocean, 

The Pilotwings once again showcase their tongue in cheek nods to the past with production launching into the future.

There was a low end rumble as the music began to trickle downstairs and into the basement. Gathered in the cellar there was a small crowd, amidst the fog and dust they began to dance in time with the flurries of percussion and the twinge of electronics which echoed deep into the night. They would be here for a long time, a unit inspired by the deep, sophisticated roar of each element. Their feet would move in time, back and forth, again and again. 

Flippen Disks is a new record label to emerge from Amsterdam, the imprint is run by Monty who also appears on the debut EP. He delivers one solo track and one collaborative effort alongside PTDD for a release which is distinguished and intelligent. The EP features forward thinking percussion and danceable material whilst is also hugely listenable and unique. 

This one is special.

The small boat bobbed on the water, looking for a place to dock before dawn broke. The two brothers scanned the shore before honing in on a derelict cove shrouded in darkness. They couldn't be caught, they had travelled for too long to risk their cover being blown. As they moored up and stepped on to solid ground, they gazed up at the famous skyline before them; a sight they had only ever seen before in books and paintings. This would be their new home; a place where they could make their names known. The unsuspecting city had no idea what they were in for...

Lithuanian-based producer Pletnev returns to local label Le Temps Perdu for his second EP, following his 2017 debut with 'St. Bones'. His diverse productions have taken him to labels like SZE, Fleeting Wax, Meda Fury and Hard Fist, with sounds spanning percussive tools to EBM and leftfield cuts. His forthcoming EP, 'Voranto Bros', features blinding remixes from CockTail d'Amore bosses Discodromo and Biologic Records' Lion's Drums.

Emotional Response presents the final recordings of the Saint Petersburg Disco Spin Club, a loose band alias of Kirill Sergeew aka Kito Jempere.  Principally active for just a few years, these recordings were never finalised – lost as such, until now.
Growing out of Kito’s productions, the 8-piece band, including friends Lipelis (Public Possession / Animals Dancing) and Sergey Lipsky (Simple Symmetry), was developed to create live transformations of his music. 
The EP captures SPDSC at their peak; working with a desire to experiment via live improvisation.  Can’t You See Me, their version of an earlier studio release, morphs the original’s melodic 4/4 in to an expansive, surround sound slo-mo Balearic funk experience for the heavens. 
This is backed with a remix by Auf Togo Meets Becker & Mukai.  After EPs on Leng, Aug Togo, aka Clement Cachot-Coulom and Sasha Crnobrnja (In Flagranti), previously teamed up with Jean-Gabriel Becker and Susumu Mukai (Zongamin), for an acclaimed EP on SaS Recordings. PREMIERE #644 | SPDSC - Can't You See Me (Auf Togo Meets Becker & Mukai) [Emotional Response] 2019

Berlin based Dame Bonnet makes music influenced by post punk and cold wave and with a primitive and reverb-drenched production he creates a tragic dream for the listener to sink in to. The music has a sentimental feel to it but the pretentions are avoided thanks to the direct sound and the unremitting drums which contributes to give the tracks a forward momentum instead of a stuck in place-feeling.

Dame Bonnet makes sad club music with traces from the early eighties In England, a society ravaged by the cold individualism as a result to neo conservative politics - a time that resembles ours, where people gets categorized out of prejudice and the social welfare systems are uninstalled bit by bit in front of a sparser crowd of woke people. In Europe, now in the 2020s, a supposed dead ultraconservative monster is coming alive again and Dame Bonnets music makes the soundtrack to that process.

This release, Dame Bonnets first on Höga Nord Rekords, captures, though the songs are all instrumental, an unpleasant atmosphere in our time. The music has its roots in 1980s England but it fits perfect also for the cold present of 2020.
