The initial spark for writing So Many Ways to Get Downtown arose from Grandma Cathryn sharing one of her life philosophies, “There’s so many ways to get downtown and we’re all heading there.” Próxima Parada arranged this song together in Nick’s bedroom in San Luis Obispo, CA, then they road-tripped to Sonic Ranch in Texas to record. The spirit of the song is a continuation of Musta Been A Ghost, and it’s a reminder that we’re all going to the same place, we all have a desire to be happy, and there are so many ways to get there.
