Family conflict — a podcast on sibling rivalry and separation with Maggie Dent

The relaxation created by Maggie Dent at Digital Tao studios in Northern NSW uses deep breathing to release tension, stress, anxiety, and frustration and to calm the inner war that exists within many of our minds. Success comes from within and it is something that we can fine tune throughout our lives. In this 10-minute creative visualisation audio for adolescents and adults alike Maggie uses colour and breath to encourage listeners to release any doubt, confusion and anxiety they are feeling. She then guides them to fill their cups with a sense of being calm, confident and capable. The audio gives listeners a tool they can use whenever they feel an ANT attack coming on (that’s Automatic Negative Thoughts - which can hit teens' developing brains in particular, more than they hit the rest of us). Practising this technique can help bring listeners back to feeling grounded and calm. The final part of the audio assists with goal setting, by visualising themselves after they have succeeded. This technique is called creative visualisation and has been used by elite athletes for many years to enhance performance.

This track is a perfect tool for helping anyone dream big and for supporting them day-to-day in feeling centred and capable of achieving their goals. It can help anyone who has sporting goals, artistic goals or even health goals as well as academic goals - or just focusing on passing a driving test. Having a clear mental  focus that we keep stoking is the best way to manifest dreams and goals!!

Safe'n'Sound

This free audio track may be useful to parents who are facing a sleepless night with their children, and in situations where children need help to calm down at bedtime. Maggie's guided relaxation lasts for around 6 minutes and then the music plays on a loop to help your child drift off and stay sleeping, so the full track runs for 30mins.
