Hailing from the birthplace of techno, Detroit, and raised amidst the eclectic sounds of Australia, Mika has carved out a unique space in the world of electronic music. With a passion ignited by the early '90s rave scene, Mika embraced the roles of both producer and DJ, quickly earning a reputation for his innovative and genre-defying style.

Mika masterfully fuses multiple tracks and genres in every set, transforming familiar sounds into new experiences. He artfully blends diverse elements using at least four decks, transcending the boundaries of Techno, Tech House, and House music. To Mika, good music is good, regardless of its origins or classification.

Throughout the late '90s and early 2000s, Mika shared stages with major names, becoming a staple in the vibrant rave scenes across Australia. While he has dialled back his live performances, his recent DJ set for Proton Music's radio indicates his skills behind the decks remain as sharp and compelling as ever, thrilling long-time fans and new listeners alike.

As the years progressed, Mika's focus shifted towards production, channelling his deep understanding of electronic music into creating groundbreaking tracks. His recent collaborations with Lisbon Journey Records and Tekno4Life Records add an exciting new chapter to his ever-evolving musical narrative.

As an electronics engineer, Mika has designed innovative musical instruments for large companies, blending his technical expertise with his creative vision. This unique skill set informs his approach to music production and distinguishes him in the industry as a true pioneer.

Though Mika has stepped back from the DJ booths he once frequented, his influence and presence continue to resonate. His dedication now lies in the studio, where he crafts sonic landscapes that captivate and inspire. Mika's journey is one of continuous exploration and reinvention, with each beat and melody representing a new frontier in the vast universe of electronic music. As he moves forward, Mika remains committed to pushing the limits, ensuring that his legacy as a visionary artist and innovator is felt for years to come.

Producing and mixing since 2001, the artist has been playing at numerous festivals and events in Germany and Switzerland, but also throughout the world, including Greece, Israel, India, the United Kingdom and Australia. 
Though rooted in the progressive psytrance scene, the style of his music cannot be put into one category only, but joins different electronic music features, melting into a sound on its own.

 Hugo began twiddling (plastic) knobs and performing live electronic music in the late 90’s. He moved to Melbourne, Australia in the year 2000 to become a part of Melbourne's amazing outdoor festival scene. Before long his skills as a DJ and Sound Engineer had him integrated with the Melbourne scene where he has continued to play the big festivals, including Rainbow Serpent, Maitreya, Earthcore and other intimate gatherings. Now influenced by life in the beautiful hinterlands of Byron bay Magic Feeling continues to evolve…
Over the years, many of his productions have gained momentum and others have grown more spacious and relaxed. Magic Feeling is definitely on the spacious and relaxed side. From a production point of view, Hugo really enjoys playing with slower tempos as the space between the sounds opens up new realms of sound experience and gives the listener time to enjoy the fullness of the sound envelope. You may find your hips and ass begin to precipitate multidirectional movement in a non demanding fashion while your ears pleasurably attune to rich and refined sound infusions. 
With a keen interest in the healing nature of life, tuned frequency has long been an integral part of Hugo’s quest. He uses Cosmic tunings such as cycles of planets, the Earth’s revolution and orbit and Universal syncopations in conjunction with Chakra balancing intonations and feeling based rhythms. Magic Feeling should be heard and felt rather than described so load up your iPhone with his next concert date and come feel the magic...
