I am delighted to present the second chapter of my Global PSYCAST broadcast!
PSYCAST is a special recording I will make on the road from some of the amazing psychedelic trance locations I visit. Every Episode will have a special flavor, featuring interviews with some of the most interesting people of our scene that I meet on the road.
PSYCAST will focus mainly on the uplifting full-on side of Psychedelic Trance, with a continues mix of music only, a classic track of the nineties and a teaser of an unreleased tune.
The first episode was recorded in GOA, the undisputed capital of the global psychedelic trance world. A location like no other, deep in history and spirituality.
I was glad to come back to this enchanted land to perform at the legendary venue Hilltop, that celebrated a few weeks back 35 years of existence. 
The second episode is dedicated to one of the most contributing locations and a true Psy Trance capital - Israel. The episode was recorded while I visited and performed at PURIM FESTIVAL by Groove Attack.

He has distilled his life experiences into the narrative of his sound and translated them into a tsunami of inspired frequencies from this dimension and beyond. He also happens to be a very interesting and lovely human being!
 
Not surprisingly, Angus’ life has been about living and breathing psychedelic music and culture in all its forms. He has a wealth of experience and enthusiasm from his extensive travels and colourful life, and It is this passion drawn from venturing deep into the unknown that has resulted in his signature Mandala sound, which is capable of captivating and elevating the dance floor to the ecstatic peak of the party. 
His music weaves an intricate tapestry , his daring arrangements challenge the norm and his top quality production all contribute to his live performances that are a unique ‘Cosmic Journey”, delivered with the intensity of a truly passionate artist that has created something remarkable. 
Mandala has played at many major festivals all over the planet and has whipped up a unique sonic storm on every occasion.
He has released a string of highly acclaimed Ep solo releases on Nano records and also collaborations with the likes of Tristan, Killerwatts, Braincell, Hypnocoustics, Pogo….and quite a few more.  His monster of an album “back to your nature” in 2018 Made waves throughout the scene and he is  fully committed to bringing fresh material into fruition, constantly striving to raise the bar. Este es un proyecto de Manuel Batista, originario de Portugal y actualmente representante de Reversible Records y parte del Booking Internacional de Kunayala Records.

Fue en 2000 que comenzó a estar profundamente conectado con la música. Lleno de melodías pesadas, desde heavy metal hasta black. Comenzó el amor por la música y la primera conexión fue cuando comenzó a aprender a tocar la guitarra.

Más tarde en 2003, descubre la música electrónica, Psy Trance, en su primera fiesta al aire libre. En 2005, comienza a tocar DJ en algunos lugares solo por diversión, un par de años después con el amor de mezclar alcanza un nivel más alto.

En 2012 comienza un grado avanzado de dj, que le da una visión más refinada y técnica de la teoría y producción de música electrónica. En el mismo año comienza una graduación académica en música electrónica y producción musical.

Su conjunto puede seguir varios caminos que pueden viajar en el lado más oscuro o seguir senderos psicodélicos más maravillosos. El orden es simplemente innovar y mejorar, sin importar el tipo de estilo musical. Sin reglas ni límites.

This is a project by Manuel Batista, originally from Portugal and currently a representative of Reversible Records and part of Kunayala Records International Booking.

It was in 2000 that he began to be deeply connected with music. Full of heavy melodies, from heavy metal to black. The love for music began and the first connection was when he began to learn to play the guitar.

Later in 2003, he discovers electronic music, Psy Trance, at his first outdoor party. In 2005, he starts playing DJ in some places just for fun, a couple of years later with the love of mixing he reaches a higher level.

In 2012 an advanced degree of dj begins, which gives a more refined and technical vision of electronic music theory and production. In the same year, an academic graduation in electronic music and music production begins.

Your ensemble can follow various paths that can travel on the darker side or follow more wonderful psychedelic trails. The order is simply to innovate and improve, regardless of the type of musical style. Without rules or limits.

HE WAS BORN IN BERNE ON FEBRUARY 8, 1982. IN HIS SPARE TIME HIS FATHER WAS A DJ AND HE ALSO LET SOUND SYSTEMS. SO MUSIC WAS OMNIPRESENT DURING MAGIC KEYS CHILDHOOD AND HE WAS MUCH INSPIRED BY HIS FA-THER. HE GREW UP WITH THE EVENT TECHNIQUES OF HIS FATHER AND PARTICIPATED REGULARLY IN THE INSTALLA-TION OF THE AUDIO TECHNIQUE OF MUSICAL EVENTS. MAGIC KEY WAS ESPECIALLY ATTRACTED BY THE RECORDS OF HIS FATHER, AND HE STARTED TO PLAY IN SECRET WITH HIS FATHER’S EQUIPMENT.
DURING HIS SCHOOLDAYS HE HAS PLAYED ELECTRIC GUITAR AND ELECTRIC BASS IN A SCHOOL-BAND FOR THREE YEARS, AND THUS GAINED EXPERIENCE IN THE HANDLING OF AUDIO TECHNIQUE EARLY ON.
MAGIC KEY DISCOVERED HIS LOVE FOR ELECTRONIC MUSIC THROUGH HIS EARLY EXPERIENCE IN 2000 IN THE SWISS CLUB SCENE. IN THE VERY SAME YEAR, HE BOUGHT HIS FIRST TWO DISC PLAYERS (TECHNICS SL1200 MK2) WHICH ARE STILL IN USE TODAY.
HE HAD HIS FIRST GIG IN 2001 AT AN AFTER-HOUR AT THE BIERHÜBELI UNDERGROUND CLUB. AT THAT TIME HIS MU-SIC-STYLE WAS HEAVILY INFLUENCED BY ACID- AND HARD-TRANCE. GRADUALLY IMPROVING HIS MIXTURE OF PRO-GRESSIVE AND TECHNO, HE PLAYED AS RESIDENT DJ IN THE BERNESE ASSOCIATION “7TH HEAVEN” AND HE HAD A BIG SHARE IN THE PROMOTION AND THE SUCCESS OF 7TH HEAVEN.
IN 2004 MAGIC KEY DISCOVERED HIS FONDNESS AND ALSO HIS TALENT FOR THE COMPOSITION OF PSY-TRANCE. SINCE THEN HE HAS PLAYED SEVERAL ELECTRONIC STYLES OF MUSIC BUT NEVERTHELESS REMAINED TRUE TO PSY-TRANCE. FOR TEN YEARS HE HAS PLAYED PSY-TRANCE AS RESIDENT DJ AT EVENTS OF T-EMOTIONS AND ARJUNA/7TH HEAVEN.
IN THE FOLLOWING YEARS MAGIC KEY SIMULTANEOUSLY STARTED THE BUILD-UP OF HIS LABEL “MAGIC MUSIC” AND HIS STUDIO “MAGIC MUSIC PRODUCTION”. IN 2009 THE LABEL ORGANIZES ITS FIRST EVENT AND SINCE 2012 MAGIC MUSIC HAS REGULARLY ORGANIZED THE EVENT SERIES “GROOVETEK” ORIENTING ITSELF TOWARD THE GENRES DE-TROIT, PROGRESSIVE AND TECHNO.
BEING ONE OF THREE ORGANIZERS OF THE “PROJECT: EVERGLADES FESTIVAL” IN SMÖGEN (SWE) IN 2014 MAGIC KEY FINALLY EXPERIENCED HIS INTERNATIONAL BREAKTHROUGH. THE FESTIVAL ON TWO FLOORS, ONE PSY- AND THE OTHER TECHNO, IS RECKONED THE BIGGEST OF ITS KIND IN SWEDEN.
AFTER THE FIRST SUCCESSFUL PERFORMANCE IN 2014 FURTHER FESTIVALS ARE PLANNED. MAGIC KEY WITH ITS LABEL MAGIC MUSIC WILL AGAIN BE CO-ORGANIZER; HE WILL BE SUPPORTED BY ITS PARTNER-LABELS: ZWARTKJIRT(NL), T-EMOTION, VOODOO INDUSTRIES AND TROPPOLOCCO EVENTS.
