With Copenema’s album Aurora, founder Rodrigo Sha stations the group domain exclusively on Brazilian turf. The album is recorded by Sha and João Viana on a farm during lockdown. Rodrigo, primarily a saxophonist, wields clarinet and flutes, while drummer João, pilots the handpan.

With the album, the duo proposes a reflection on time. A calm and meditative atmosphere permeates the music, providing a gentle topography for the emotional flows to unfold upon. Flooded with references from a diverse set of ethnocultural material (Brazilian, Celtic, African, Central-Asian), everything blends harmoniously in immersive and captivating melodic and rhythmic states. Ninth Black and White Session with DJ Soulsonic a/k/a Herr Wempe.
Mr. Wempe likes music with soul. He has been DJing with records for many years and has been hosting the monthly party series "Soul Gallen" at the Palace (St. Gallen) since 2010. The musical spectrum includes Motown classics, Northern Soul rarities, deep funk, rhythm'n'blues, dancefloor jazz, boogaloo, afro-beat, rocksteady etc. It doesn't matter if it's from the 60's or today, as long as you can dance to it. As DJ Soulsonic he co-founded the internationally successful event series "Rap History", furthermore he is co-owner of the record store "OOR Records" in Zurich.
