In the early and mid 20th Century, acoustic was king. Any assertions of electronic sounds being 'music' were thoroughly dismissed for decades. Similarly, today, consciousness is seen as a thoroughly organic phenomenon whilst fringe thinkers assert a clear case for computers and robots possessing some rudimentary forms of thinking. At what point does technology become alive and aware of its own existence? Is this even possible?

KMG's spacey MBE mix of synthed out polyrhythms, silicon, trippy boppers, and oscillating algorithms plays out perfectly to an exploration of computer consciousness or as an accompaniment to beer.

Acid Dann is a representative of avant-garde electronics from St. Petersburg. The founder and owner of the Acid Rainbow Records label, where he releases his works, varying between styles from idm and techno to kraut and space ambient, as well as the works of domestic and foreign musicians who, like Dann, use a non-trivial approach to creating unique sound textures. You can describe in words the results of his creative activity for a long time, but it is better to prepare for the fact that your brain will begin to use new chains of neurons and turn on a mixtape, compiled and recorded specifically for the 40th release.

Alternative Fakten is a real life and digital platform bringing together progressive artists and activists throughout the city of Munich and beyond. Musical releases, club nights, live shows, art shows and discussion formats are part of the repertoire. We amp underground movements and aesthetical discourse that is deeply linked to the city and its history and that need to be put on the spotlight.

Alternative Fakten Vol. 2 highlights Munich’s contemporary electronic music scene, that’s happening in between the local art scene, activist groups and club culture. 21 artists from diverse backgrounds paint a picture of riseup in a world slowly but surely falling apart.

Compressed to a 80 minute mix delivered via limited tape edition, compiled and mixed together by “Alternative Fakten” head honcho Tom Zwotausend. Mastering by LeRoy (Das Hobos, H). Videomix by Jesaja Rüschenschmidt.
