A born rebel who lives for renegade parties, ORCA has been solidly carving her way into the heart of Melbourne nightlife.
Bold, brave and unique in her approach to finding music, ORCA has a wide range of influences and intricately weaves a new story with each performance.

Devilishly dark and always a little naughty, ORCA is well known for her delectable taste - her playful sets and attention to detail has seen her support a slew of her favourite local and international acts including Twisted Sibling, Sumirunaand Hypnagog and Freedom Fighters.

Alongside some rather memorable performances at Burning Seed, Collective Delusion, Defragments, Crunchy Town, and Paradox, she was recently invited to curate guest mixes for El Orden Secreto (Guatemala), Porridge Warehouse (London), End of Now (AUS) and multiple online appearances for COVID ROOM (Italy).

Deeply inspired by her worldly adventures, and incredibly supportive of the local scene - ORCA can see her opportunities are endless... but her heart is in Australia; where she is really starting to make waves.

We warmly invite ORCA to take to the Creatures stage for our 18th guest mix.

DJ Basilisk explores many shades of deep house, melodic and dub techno, and leftfield dance music in this meticulously-curated guest mix for the Taipei-based Evaporate crew. Although rooted in the psytrance scene, Basilisk is a true sonic chameleon, traversing an immense range of styles and approaches in pursuit of gourmet electronic sounds. Here he applies his signature smooth and harmonic mixing style to subterranean house and techno, navigating the moody depths of the genre with confidence and aplomb. Expect to hear warm grooves, sultry vocals, hints of jazz, and a dash of "Rominimal" in the opening half of the mix, after which Detroit techno drive and brawny bass-heavy beats deliver a glimmering climax. A serene and hypnotic comedown follows, delicately stripping back the layers until only raw analog sounds and tape hiss remain. For our 38th MBE transmission we welcome Soft-Touch Operation aka Ivan Turanjanin all the way from South Africa. Drawing inspiration from the complexities of classical symphonies right through to the raw industrial essence of electronic music, Ivan seeks out sounds and compositions that realign spaces and audiences with an eye toward the future. Magic. 

From curating small clubs to running large scale festivals, Ivan aims to re-enforce the rich traditions of electronic music history whilst lending the same passion to the advancement of underground music culture in South Africa and beyond with his various formidable event and music projects, namely @Ivan, @soft-touch-operation, @killer-robot, @dj-low-1 and @ctemf-1.

And so without further ado, a labour of love slowly begins to surface as soft-touch operation emerges somewhere between the shadows, with cerebral elegance crafting a luscious blend of low slung electro, dubious house and sinuous techno. Press play and enter the Hidden Realms...
