Born and raised in Montreal, Mitch Oliver is an emissary for the burgeoning east coast melodic movement. The rising DJ/Producer and Sound Engineer - signed to the likes of multiple labels such as XYZ, Kindisch and Akbal Music - has established a respected reputation for his personalized blend of deep emotive grooves. His deft touch in the studio and adept curation have taken him across Canada, the US, and the Caribbean with performances at renowned events such as AIM Festival, Burning Man and SXM Festival. At home, Mitch Oliver has taken on the mantle of driving the Montreal scene forward through his budding Aurora events and through vibrant residencies at the likes of Velvet and Guy Laliberté’s PY1 Nights.

An epic sunrise and then a mesmerizing beautiful morning. No sand storms this time. Absolutely quiet and peaceful Playa. Feelings of of happiness, the fulfillment of the moment, and childish enlightenment were taking us over, and even of something more, something that is hard to describe, because it is rather similar to magic, that is flowing in the air over that giant heart on the top of bus.

We'd like to spread our love and gratefulness to every one who was still with us at midday, while the sun was in its zenith. We literally got burnt under its rays. It must have been the hottest day of that week. But could it stop us? No way. That 3,5 hours were like one moment.

Our congratulations and thanks to the Robot Heart team. You've been producing love for 10 years and granting happiness in Black Rock City. We could feel it from outside, and now we are honored to be part of it. We really appreciate it.

Alright, Gab Rhome, you convinced us! Our livers (and waistlines) could use a cleansing break after all those delicious cocktails. Let’s cut out booze for a while and enjoy a rejuvenating and energizing glass of the earth’s most delicious, most healthy foods: milk!  

Gab Rhome, born in Montréal and living in NYC, milked his favorite cow (what’s her name by the way?) on his farm to ensure today’s Schirmchendrink is full of vitamins, minerals and amino acids. 

Grab a cookie and dip it into Gab’s dreamy and hypnotic vibes. 

He began his musical journey at an early age playing multiple instruments while being shaped by jazz music, and it only took a few years before making a transition towards the rhythms of dance music. 

Only within few years of producing Gab gained worldwide attention with releases on label heavy weights such as All Day I Dream, Anjunadeep, Kindisch, Get Physical and Last night on Earth.  

His delicate melodic tech-house productions have brought him on journeys across the globe, for example to the @radiovenao Gathering in Panama, where this set was recorded. As you are about to experience, a similar voyage is built during his dj sets.

Welcome back to the Magician On Duty Journey Series!

On this week's edition, we welcome @djjenner

Jenner started her musical journey in 2002 when she discovered an after hours club in Berlin, Germany with fellow backpackers. It was at this moment that she began her love affair with underground electronic music.  Upon her return to Toronto, she began to regularly attend Toronto’s night clubs and after hours that has hosted many of today’s biggest DJ’s in the scene.  In 2008 Jenner bought her first set of CDjs and mixer, and began honing her skills as a DJ.  Since that time her sound has evolved and her passion as she’s currently focusing on her studio skills and working on her first productions, which she plans to release this summer 2019.

Jenner has played many Toronto clubs and events, including Coda, Oneloft, Summerdaze/Bespoke Experience and Promise Cherry Beach.  She has recently played internationally in Tulum, Mexico and at the Vujaday Musical Festival in Barbados and at the Tomorrow Today Festival in Jamaica.  Her most memorable events include her debut on the Mayan Warrior at Burning Man, Camp Summerdaze, Harvest Music Festival and Bucko, Tulum.  

Jenner is known for her deep infectious ethereal backdrops, brooding basslines, hypnotic melodies, and perfectly selected vocals to captivate her audience further. Deeper. Darker. There is an excitement on the dance floor that’s palpable when Jenner gets on the decks. Close your eyes and feel the energy through the music.

Enamoured 012: Burning Man 2019

The Mojito, the refreshing and minty national cocktail of Cuba, mentally transports us to a tropical location no matter where we’re sipping it. Oscar Mederos’ interpretation of is not just the preferred option for quenching our thirst after a long night on the dance floor or toasting during a summer vacation’s night out, it is also another example of the outstanding story telling skills of the Miami based DJ.

Originally from Cuba, Oscar has now been residing in Miami for the past five years. He fell in love with electronic music after attending many of the Miami underground parties and developed an exceptional taste and competence in electronic music. 

Involved with the Miami based label Magician on Duty, Oscar further developed his passion for electronic music and was part of the label’s rise to an essential source for deep and dreamy electronic music. 

Oscar is a welcome guest behind the decks at Behrouz’ Do Not Sit On The Furniture club in Miami, where he shared the stage with artists like Midas 104, Sainte Vie, Lake People, Mira & Chris, Arutani and many more. 

As the driving force behind the so-called All Day I Dream Appreciation Page, a popular group on Facebook, Oscar and thousands of ADID enthusiasts share new music, track IDs and news related to the beloved label.

But, most of all, Oscar is a tremendous story teller with a faible for emotional music across any of the electronic music genres. We couldn’t be happier to serve his Mojito today.
