The rāga saga is a series that acts as a cultural collectiva of our favourite artists from all over, Each raga is an array of melodic structures with musical motifs, considered in the Indian tradition to have the ability to "colour the mind" and affect the emotions of the audience and this journey (raga) comes from the very tasteful @andremayborn

Andre Mayborn has been evolving as an artist and DJ since early 2016. His music reflects diverse ethnic themes from cultures all over the world that combine hypnotic grooves of African tribes, upbeat Balkan fusions, rhythmic ensembles of the Middle East, meditative chants of Asian temples, Indian shamanism and mystic Slavic folklore.

Often defined as avant-garde downtempo Andre's music takes his audience on a spiritual journey into the world guiding their imagination through mysterious times and places, triggers their deep emotions and thoughts, gives inspiration to their minds. Each performance is an aesthetic interpretation of diverse cultural repercussions with their sacred messages seen from a contemporary perspective.

Andre is a co-founder and resident at AnimaTerra Festival, a global initiative and platform for self-expression which is aimed to promote multicultural electronic/world music, flow and visual arts through engaging creative communities and musical talents all around the world.

Coming up next is a very special drink named Rainbow Wine. It is actually a liquor that was given to Adam Husa as a present from Aïcha Makeba, the singer and featured artist on his latest production, „The Rainbow Song“. Fortunately Adam packed this unreleased gem in his astonishing and laidback mix exclusively here on Schirmchendrink. 

Adam Husa’s electric and eccentric world pensively balances dark and light tones, invoking distinctly deep frequencies. He flutters across sounds keeping things emotive and trippy, from eerie grooves and ambient nostalgia to melodic techno and seductive minimal. His focus is on casting sonic pathways for listeners to accompany him in getting lost. With productions supported by Dixon, Nick Warren, Hernan Cattaneo, Be Svendsen, Tone Depth & more, we’re well on his way.

Adam’s songs have surfaced on fittingly named labels like Steyoyoke, Seven Villas and Trndmsk, among others. A regular fixture of East Coast festivals (Piknic Electronik, Eclipse, Summerdaze, AIM, Igloofest, Liberty…), his wanderings have also leaded to performances in LA, Paris, Cairo, Istanbul, Vancouver, NY, Burning Man…

For six years, his impact on the Montreal scene has solidified with the growth of Husa Sounds. This electronic music collective and blog is dedicated to curating and nurturing underground artistic experiences, whether intimate local showcases or multidisciplinary raves in abandoned venues - among which a boarding school and a church. Husa Sounds has collaborated with Be-At.TV as well as summoned a steady steam of celestial deep house artists, from Jon Talabot to Miyagi, SuperFlu to Oona Dahl.

Meanwhile, Adam’s diverse sets, conspicuous productions and thumping basslines continue crackling into the night. His latest project, Husa & Zeyada is a live electronic duo born out of a spontaneous and spacey lockdown collaboration between two very different daydreamers. The project fuses @zeyadamusic ’s synth-soaked bedroom pop with @adamhusa ’s late-night deep house.

Sebastian has been sharing and mixing his tunes through the world since he got his first MK2 back in Paris in 2003. Discovering nightlife at Le Palace in the late 90s and soon collecting vinyl's from Parisian stores like Katapult, Techno Import or Kitsuné, the original inspiration came from the Detroit Scene through Garnier's Rex residencies and the terrific Kill the DJ parties at le Pulp. 

He has been behind the decks throughout the US, Europe, Latin America and currently resides in New York City. Sharing stage with names like Birds of Minds, Unders, Mandrake & Dramian (Mayan Warrior), Carlita, Maga, Bonjour Ben, Djuma Soundsystem, Patrik Khach and Holmar his experience engaging the crowd and technical expertise are praised by the industry. 

As both a DJ and Music Director at Amaya Mezcal Club in New York, he is well-equipped to take his audience on a unified journey of downtempo, melodic house with deep and dark transporting sounds.
