1) If you could have any talent in the world, what would it be?

I have this recurring dream wherein i play the guitar just by using my mind, i’m able to hear every note i can think of without the limitations of the body.  It would be a wonderful talent to have in the waking world aswel.

2) What's the craziest or most out-of-character thing you've ever done?

That’s a though question! My mom could be reading this! hahah
Let’s just say, i share the same crazy stories that every “Psychonaut” has experienced.

3)What's your favourite thing about the place where you live?

We live in a small village near the mountains of Serra da Estrella in Portugal and my favourite thing here is to watch the birds show of their flying skills while listening to their morning songs with the sound of the river in the background. This really tickles my heart and makes me want to grow wings and join them, which is what i also do when my body goes to sleep :)

The human blink is controlled by the subconscious. The reflexive closing movement of the eyelids clean and protect the eyes. When we blink, the visual centre in the brain is regulated. Therefore, we do not consciously perceive this whole process and the briefly reduced incidence of light. On average, this procedure is conducted 10-15 times per minute. In moments of great excitement, joy or concentration, we can blink significantly less often. Due to the excessive focus, the blinking becomes a consciously controlled process for a certain amount time. The first Joe Carl EP on KataHaifisch contains two tracks. When my journey as a Dj started, my sound was a combination of smooth and melodic. Over the time I developed a more driving and spheric sound which I am now known for. 

I always want to take you on a journey which is when I am playing in front of a crowd powerful and other times when I am recording a podcast more dreamy. 

While recording this set, I wasn't thinking about creating something thats gonna be published. I just wanted to do, what I love the most. Making music and creating something that reflects my feelings at this moment. So I named this set love&joy, because that's what I felt in this beautiful 1 and a half hours. 

I hope you enjoy listening and maybe you'll also feel some of the love and joy that I put in this set and that came back to me while doing it.

Kazakhstan with its Almaty mountains completely overwhelmed me with bliss. I was able to celebrate the whole festival with the dear Cosmic Picnic Tribe, with all its cultural enchantment and uniqueness, the best food and a breathtaking scenery. What a trip cosmic, monadic brothers and sisters. I will never forget it.

In this spirit, my heartfelt gratitude goes out to all of you for your heartwarming beings, your open arms in every way, the great genuine conversations and the amazing family rave! I could enthused about it for hours. I found new friends who, with their nomadic culture, fit perfectly into my nature-loving, bushcraft, forest-gnome essence and life. :DD:P

I am very glad to share with you the recording of my set last Sunday at Beate Barfuß. 

This set is brings you to the twists and turns of slower music, navigating between 108 and 122 bpm, with some of my favourite releases of the past months but also some older school timeless classics. 
 
No banger on the carpets, only softer and comfortable music.

This place, and particularly their Sunday events have been a big inspiration for me since I moved to Berlin almost 10 years ago, and an important place for the slower scene in Berlin.  
A unique place and crowd of true music lovers.
