Covid-19 and its consequences are keeping the whole world on alert. For more than a year now, we have been seeing new waves of outbreaks in several countries and regions of the world. In this sense, 500 million indigenous people, in urban or rural areas of the planet are also at risk because of their social vulnerability. The risk of indigenous genocide in the midst of the pandemic is dizzying and can have serious consequences since viruses and diseases of this type have contributed to reducing the world's indigenous population over the centuries.

Thus, several podcast channels have joined forces to celebrate 'International Indigenous Peoples' Day'. This with a focus on donations for indigenous peoples affected by Covid-19 in Brazil led and managed by 'United for a Living Amazon', a volunteer movement made up of citizens and non-governmental organizations that have been working in the Amazon for decades, united for a common and urgent cause. Es ist eine Wonne wie der Sommer in all seiner ihm zur Verfügung stehenden Gemütlichkeit in den Herbst übergeht. Tagsüber streicheln uns die wärmenden Sonnenstrahlen noch die Haut, während über Nacht die Temperaturen sinken und uns wissen lassen: es wird Zeit für wärmende Pullover und kuschlige Decken. Wir fangen an uns einzumummeln, machen es uns mehr und mehr auf dem Sofa in unserem Wohnzimmer gemütlich und hängen leicht lächelnd den vielen Eindrücken und wundervollen Erlebnissen der letzten Wochen nach. Zärtlich schmiegt sich die Ruhe an uns und wir merken nach 32 Minuten und einigen Sekunden, das dieser Mix unsere Stimmung auf den Punkt wiedergibt, diese Worte beeinflusst und sie sich im Wechselspiel ergänzen und gegenseitig verfeinern. Ein in sich harmonisch abgestimmter Mix erwartet euch, der uns vom Seaside Trip Steuermann Dr. c0nne eingespielt worden ist - bekannt für seine Feinfühligkeit für die flauschigen Klängen dieser Welt. So schwebt dieser Mix entspannt aber nie einschläfernd daher und geleitet uns mit leichter, jedoch tiefer, Beat_Struktur immer weiter fort. Die Dichte der Klangstruktur wird zum Satoraminspiegel und der Sommer wird zum Herbst.

Welcome back to the Magician On Duty Journey Series!

On this edition we welcome @schneee

It all started with a mixtape!
In the 80’s schNee was born in the suburbs of Berlin, and as a young girl she moved through this vibrant city exploring different music styles through concerts - as she got older she started finding herself in the Berlin clubs; dancing, feeling, enjoying, and opening up to the electronic music.

It turns out that a simple mixtape was to be the beginning of an adventurous career for the young schNee. After making a mixtape, for her car, of all her favorite electronic tracks - a sudden realization hit her - her passion in life was to become a DJ and learn the ways of music. She promptly bought turntables, a mixer, and started her vinyl collection. Thus, a DJ was born.

schNee is all about the musical experience and that is evident through her sound. Her mixes are full of emotional range, with deep melodies and lots of bass to the upbeat ‘feel the sun on your face’ beats - she truly wants you to feel and be enveloped in the music like she herself is. She oozes of diversity, playing anything from house to techno. In particularly she draws inspiration from the likes of James Holden, Nathan Fake, Max Cooper, Extrawelt, Nicolas Jaar, and Stimming - just to mention a few.

schNee has been on a roll ever since her first gig in Hamburg in early 2013. Following some releases and remixes on ‘Der Turnbeutel’ and ‘Triebjagd’ she has been rocking the floors at some of Berlin’s hottest clubs. Sisyphos, MenschMeier, About Blank, Ritter Butzke, Keller, and Rummelsbucht have all welcomed her to the DJ stand, from which she has filled the floor with marvelous tunes. Most notably, at Crack Bellmer where she has hosted her own club night. Her has spread music even further, as she has been playing gigs all over Europe, including Switzerland and The Netherlands.

Her music is not only limited to the club - as she has also played at several festivals like; Captainsrave, Monis Rache, Zug der Liebe, Zurück zu den Wurzeln, Chateau Melon d’Eau, and Dockville.
When she isn’t busy filling the world’s dance floors with remarkable tunes, she is hanging out with her space buddies and astronauts at the Cosmic Society label, where she is currently signed.

Roe Deers is a Lithuanian-based producer aka Liudas Lazauskas. Liudas started listening to electronic music when I was 10 year old. Being 11 year old, he got a turntable and a mixer, he started collecting vinyls and practiced my mixing technique at my parents nightclub. Eventually, he started playing at club venues in Lithuania, few years after - across the Europe. Then he began my music story and let the music do the talking. He have enthralled the nights of endless audiences in the many clubs in Europe by delivering well blended electronic music.

Having spent more than 15 years behind the turntables performing at clubs and produced electronic music, Liudas became significantly well equipped with rich musical knowledge across many genres of electronic music. While most of the electronic music follows a clear and often monotonic pattern, you never know what you will get from Roe Deers. The way how he would describe my sound would be “From old-school style up to disco and from soulful to deep new wave - combination of disco, rock & house”. It really does vary.

Roe Deers employ all shades of love in his shows so that the only response you can give him is dance.
