Close friends for many years, sharing the same passion for music, one ear for bass and the other for highs, complement each other. We love harmonies and the fusion of tracks. Electronic music has been with us for a long time, but it wasn't until May 2019 that we sat down at the controllers and gave our passion a platform to be fully lived out. Our hearts beat faster with the sounds of downtempo, slowtech and ketapop. Our dedication to telling our stories is possible thanks to all the producers who create such wonderful tracks.

A humble shepherd was tired after a long day of work. So, he wandered into a forest to find a cool, soft place to rest. At first, it seemed like any other forest - quiet, still and green. But the more he walked, the more he realized that it was anything but quiet. Or still. The silence was filled with rustling, humming, singing. Every crack in the ground was an opportunity for new things to grow. Every inch filled with life. An ecosystem full of randomness and complexity. And yet it was comforting - a home to countless creatures. And what started as a tired shepherd’s search for sleep somehow turned into a magical journey. 

He befriended little rabbits and deer. He bathed in a stream and played in the sun. As night fell, the forest did not sleep. It seemed to glow, to dance to a rhythm that he could not grasp. But he started to dance too. Soon he began to understand the way the forest worked. The shepherd thought about the interconnectedness of the universe, how each living thing supports and depends on each other. Then suddenly, the fragility of the breathing, living system around him became clear, almost palpable. It could all be gone in a few decades – just a blink of an eye for an ancient forest that had spent millennia growing, shrinking, adapting, overcoming, all in perfect, harmonious balance.

Turak grew up in Munich. This might be known as a conservative city, but if you look closely you can find many alternative bubbles with great people. Joining the underground music festival scene early on with a true passion for dancing and listening, he meanwhile found a new home in Berlin.

In his music, the love for freedom, traveling and life itself is audible. These are also some key values of his collective - Love Foundation. His roots in Hip-Hop and Deep House are underlying while sailing throughout slower waves. Melodic music for the soul with storytelling sometimes vast in variety.

Turak [Journey Series]

On that sunny and cold morning in late February, Hekske (The Little Witch) was surprised to experience an unstoppable urge to fly.  This was completely unexpected as the last full moon was only 11 days ago, and witches normally only fly out on full moon days, when they go to their monthly coven.  Anyway, after kissing goodbye to Falke (the 9-year old witch apprentice) and Lalita (the Asian tree nymph), the young witch surrendered to her urge and flew into the unknown.  She had no idea where she was flying to, but she knew she would – as always - reach her destination by following her inner compass.
After taking off, the little witch headed straight towards the east with great speed, meaning the destination must be pretty far away.  After a day and a night of flying, she sensed she had reached her destination and gently touched down on an abandoned railway in the middle of a snow-covered forest, where she was welcomed by 2 other witches.  After a long welcome hug, the 2 women explained that the army of the country from the Eastern side of the river had invaded this land and a horrific and senseless war was raging between both parties.  A pure being like a witch has great trouble to understand things like borders and wars, but the little witch briefly felt the agony and suffering which was happening in this beautiful country, as well as the pain inside the heart of the peace-loving people of the attacking country.
Then the eldest witch spoke these wise words ‘However bleak and hopeless the current situation seems to be, if you look far enough in the future, peace and harmony will be restored between the people on both sides of the river’.  She stood up, and exactly at that moment 6 young witches and 6 wizards came from the 12 wind directions to converge in this place.  The 3 witches welcomed all of them, and explained that this place is the very center of Europe, as it’s neither East nor West, nor North nor South.  This place is the beating heart of Europe and today would be the day to give shape to the future.  While listening to all these explanations, the 12 young witches and wizards were not paying too much attention as they were too busy sneaking glances and shy smiles at each other.  After that, the 6 young witches and 6 wizards were being left alone and slowly they split up into 6 couples.  Although there were a few surprises as this included one witch-witch and one wizz-wizz couple, there was one constant among all couples… one person was dressed in red, blue and white and the other half of the couple in yellow and blue.  The eldest witch explained that the blue and yellow dress is worn by the people of the west bank of the river, and the red-blue-white colors by the people of the east bank.
The 6 couples started to stroll hand-in-hand along the railroad through the cold and leafless forest.  Actually, this railway line is known as the ‘Tunnel Of Love’ and is considered as the most romantic place in Europe (but less so in winter).  And then something magic happened.  One of the couples exchanged their first shy kiss, and the color of their clothes immediately changed to a bright pink, while the temperature suddenly shot up and the surrounding trees got fresh green leaves.  The other couples noticed this, and soon they were all exchanging tender kisses, while all the trees along the railway track became green.  Meanwhile a soft spring sun started to shine while all kinds of birds started to sing.  While the war was still raging around the forest, a new spring had already arrived in this Tunnel Of Love…

Der Macher in uns

In jedem von uns steckt ein Macher. Mal wird dieser Charakteristik mehr Aufmerksamkeit geschenkt und entsprechende Entfaltungsmöglichkeit eingeräumt, dann mal wieder weniger. Doch was zeichnet diese Qualität nun konkret aus?
In erster Linie ist es der zielgerichtete Einsatz persönlicher Ressourcen. Mit einer Kraftanstrengung wird ein, wie auch immer geartetes Ziel angestrebt und bei vorhandener Durchführungskompetenz und dem nötigen Durchhaltevermögen, schlussendlich auch erreicht. Die größte Hürde in diesem Prozess ist erst einmal der Anfang. Alle Zweifel, Sorgen und destruktiven Gedanken müssen beiseite geschoben und der erste Schritt getan werden. Hat man diese Phase überwunden beginnt die eigentlich Arbeit. Nun werden nach und nach alle nötigen Schritte zur Zielerreichung bewerkstelligt und der gewünschte Output, aus den investieren Materialen herausgearbeitet. Normalerweise treten innerhalb dieser produktiven Schaffensphase Widerstände und unvorhergesehene Probleme auf. Kommt man einen dieser Punkte, muss neu evaluiert werden, wie dieses Problem sich lösen lässt. Anschließend kann es dann weiter gehen. 
Der Macher in uns hat Biss und lässt sich nicht entmutigen. Zeitweise ist er der Verzweiflung nahe, doch mit seinem Ziel vor Augen ist aufgeben keine realistische Option. Besonders in einem Team lassen sich die Macher-Qualitäten am besten entfalten. Also ran den Speck.

Heute ist der aufstrebende Musik Produzent und Live Act Cedric Scheibel auf KataHaifisch zu Gast. Dieses Mal beehrt uns der Frankfurter Musiker mit einem Podcast anstatt eines Tracks. Sein Set für KataHaifisch ist sowohl harmonisch, als auch mit Liebe zum Detail konzipiert. Der gekonnte Einsatz von Vocals an genau den richtigen Stellen, sowie die Lockerheit der Instrumente und Harmonien kreieren eine atmosphärische Einheit des Klangs. Man kann dieser Musik stundenlang andächtig lauschen und Raum und Zeit um sich herum vergessen. Dieser Podcast ist zeitlose Kunst, welche die Frequenzmagie durch das Ohr hinein in Herz & Seele zaubert.

A Balance Dilemma
For me always have being all about Balance, life and music. A balance between two excesses: too much or too little. Not too hard nor chill. Between the organic and the inorganic.

Because in between recklessness and cowardice, there is courage, in between secrecy and loquacity, there is honesty. In between impulsiveness and indecisiveness, there is self-control.

But have someone achieved something extraordinary in the path of Balance? Maybe balance is the path to average, the space between extraordinary and ordinary. Giving equal attention to eight things makes you equally average at eight things. Should we follow balance?
