The everything poem.

This beautiful perfect girl,
I’m allowed to call my own.
She lifted me onto a pedestal,
Put my heart on a throne.

She’s my muse, the moonlight that beams upon my face.
And yet she’s oh so certain she’s the one I’ll come to hate.

People have lied to me, I’ve been ignored and stabbed in the back.
Yet whenever she’s upset I crave to soothe her panic attacks.

What I love about her is that she’s not afraid to talk.
She actually wants to change, and that very idea makes my brain stop.

Why would someone want to get better for me?
I just can’t help but wonder.
But I realize I want to be better for her too.
I’m no longer in a blunder. 

Of course she gets *those* thoughts.
Don’t worry, I do too.
But throughout life and death, I’ll be the one who helps her through.

As long as she’ll let me, I’ll change and call her mine.
She’s the one person that makes me lose my mind.

Maybe I’m childish.
That much can be true.
