This is the 2nd mix I did for the "Breaks of Unknown" series hosted by D-Xtreme from Orlando, FL.This used to be hosted at the mixspot but since it was taken down I've reposted here. This was done in 2009.

Breaks Of Unknown Vol. 9 - Grade-E

Seann "Grade-E" is a product of the of the legendary Orlando, Fl Rave scene of the early 1990s. Orlando was ground zero for an explosion of DJ and musical talent that defined an era. Seann was lucky enough to witness talented djs like Kimball Collins, D-Xtreme, Dj Stylus, Chris Fortier, Jimmy Van M all Orlando natives, in the original clubs (Aahz, The Abyss, The Edge, Firestone) that spawned a generation and launched their careers. He saw Sasha and Digweed do their first stateside appearance at the now infamous Aahz Nightclub. Hearing all those legends in the heyday of house night after night inspired Seann like so many others to explore his own music interests. In 1994 he pulled together enough money to by two turntables and a mixer. Later the next year he moved to Albuquerque, NM where got the opportunity to DJ at several local clubs and a few desert raves. In 1996 he moved to Washington DC where he connected with local progressive house legend Ty T of "Stellar" which gave him the opportunity to DJ at virtually every club throughout DC and Northern VA metro area, including a residency at "Traxx" nightclub which was DCs longest standing nightly until it closed in 2004. Durning this time Seann was able to DJ along side some of his all time favorite DJs including Dave Seaman, Jimmy Van M, Bill Hamel, Steve Lawler, Noel Sanger, and most notably his local Orlando favorite - D-Xtreme.

In 2000 Seann looked to expand the Stellar brand by founding a record label, aptly named "Stellar Records." In that role Seann built a small boutique record label focused on progressive house and breaks demonstrating his passion for all things progressive. Stellar records lasted 4 years and 15 releases where he signed artists such as Thomas Penton, Noel Sanger, Oko Tek, Manhattan, Remosh, Descent and his own moniker "Undivided Space" which was a partnership with Thomas Penton. Together that released two tracks one of which, "Recovery" was signed to D:Fuse's Mix compilation "For The People."

Recently Seann has been signed to Polytechinc Records with 3 releases planned for this year. Seann has also done remixes for DSUK and RUNE. In the future, Seann continues to learn and explore the world of music production as he focuses on releasing tracks with progressive and breakbeat undertones, always paying homage to his roots as an early Orlando rave kid from many years ago.

Broken Essence 056 Joe Wink & A - Mase

Chapter 5 in The Book of Breaks takes a journey through music that brings me back to the turn of the century.  A time when life was full of endless possibility and my interest and passion for electronic music was going full-throttle as I began to discover and understand what seperated quality EDM from the rest.  Theses tracks are reminiscent of Bedrock Breaks, Probspot, Ozgur Can, Luke Chable and others that originated this particular sound around that time.

Revive 121 With Retroid And Ga3or T (20-06-2019)

MAgnes K:  Having been in the EDM scene since before it was a scene, MAgnes K is well versed in the art of Djing and quality electronic music.  Recently moving from strictly Trance to Techno & Deep Progressive, and then eventually ending up at Progressive Breaks, MAgnes K is pursuing this little known genre within the EDM world.  With inspiration coming from his mother and best friend during his early days of learning the art of DJing, Michael Lathrop, aka DJ Driven, MAgnes K has devised a project called ‘The Book of Breaks’ that showcases different styles of Progressive Breaks by incorporating them into stories and themed chapters.  These extensively worked, researched and produced sets will contain some of the best productions by some of the best artists in the Progressive Breaks arena.  With his years of experience and taste for exceptionally good music, MAgnes K will be supporting and promoting one of his favorite styles of EDM for the foreseeable future.
