"Our first time ever on the playa was overwhelming.
We knew that our debut at Burning Man had to be as the group that we are,  Keinemusik. Being given the huge honor to play the iconic sunrise set on the Mayan Warrior during the Robot Heart link-up was a dream come true for us. Enjoying this surreal moment together with so many people was a highlight in our musical career. Here are two hours and a half of  Keinemusik (Rampa, Adam Port, &ME).

Techno artist Björn Torwellen returns with new album ‘10 000 Black Seeds’ on Nachtstrom Schallplatten.
The eight-track record finds him exploring the creative fields of man-machine interaction. This work marks a welcome return for Torwellen after four years away. Before that, he established himself with a dark, dense and introspective sound and headlined major events around the world, from Nature One and Mayday to venues in Buenos Aires, Berlin and everywhere in between. He also ran his own events and founded the e-learning platform SINEE while evolving his meticulous style.

Inspired by his enduring work with modular synths, the new album was made on a refined modular system, processed into a signature sample pack and arranged in Ableton. The tracks were then mixed in analogue to create an organic, coherent sound aesthetic, meaning that '10 000 Black Seeds' is more than club-ready music; it is a document of Torwellen's own artistic development. The title cut ‘10 000 Black Seeds’ opens up with drums so heavy they will rattle walls. Glitchy claps peel off
the groove, and the atmosphere is brilliantly dark and moody. 'World(t)error' is just as big and powerful with rolling percussion and gritty warehouse vibes, until 'March Of The Transients' picks up the pace with quicker, banging drums and fizzing synths adding to the texture. There is eerie suspense in 'Alone In The Womb' with its elastic bassline and tense synth pulses, 'Under The Cloak Of Anger' has frosty static electricity running
through the middle of the high impact drums and 'All Those Who Wander' has more thumping kicks and mind-melting synth details racing along before 'Children Of The Twilight' and 'The Ghost Orchard Mythos' close out this stripped back but powerful techno album with two more fearsome cuts. ‘10 000 Black Seeds’ is a fantastic sonic homecoming that reflects every facet of Torwellen’s signature sound. ‘March Of The Transients’ and ‘Under The Cloak Of Anger’ are out on 16th February and 15th
March, respectively, with the whole LP dropping on 26th April 2024.

They say momentum creates success, and as we enter the second quarter of the year, we crank up the energy with a six-track release from Swiss artist Unconformist. Finding the perfect balance between EBM-leaning basslines, rough textures, and lush atmospheres, Vivid Scars Symphony is all killer, with no filler.

Within this intense journey of sound, Unconformist is joined by fellow Swiss artist Giselh, for a perfect match of power and intensity. Rounding off the release is German mega talent Parallx, whose rendition of Mindstorm Sonata takes the track to a whole new dimension of uplifting dub techno.

Building up to their debut 4 track E.P. which is being released in September, @strictly140 are releasing various free downloads celebrating both grime and dubstep. Following on from STRCTFD001 comes an artist that for us at @strictly140, bridges the gap between grime and dubstep perfectly. 

Rakjay (@rakjayuk) has created a unique sound to his music that is easily recognizable within today's grime and dubstep scene. He's had tunes played on Radio 1 Xtra, Radar Radio and Mode FM by DJs such as Spooky, Jack Dat, TMSV and many more. 

‘Leeway’ opens with an eerie intro, almost haunting, with a creeping bass that just gets darker and darker with every drop. His productions are always very clean-cut, minimal and dark. @Rakjayuk is definitely someone to watch out for in 2017. 

Look out for his track 'Ascendance' which is being released through @strictly140 on a grime instrumental compilation E.P. sometime in September.
