The story continues for Perpetual E-Motion, Francesco Pico's upcoming artist album. After the beatless and downtempo delight of episode 0 and the warm up vibe of episode 1 we're now unleashing episode 2 where the Dutch progressive house legend slowly but surely moves towards peak time dancefloor goodness.

Where the title 'Summer of Love- Duhh!' is clearly an expression of frustration towards the failed Dutch festival season, the song itself is a very warm and intelligent melodic cut which is carried by a soulful female vocal.

'It's a Good Time' is the point where Francesco clearly moves away from early night territory and moves towards the peak time moments. It's all system go from here.. A good time indeed!

ML Premiere: Yel Bosco - Yaman [Tibetania]

Akbal Music, a label that started in the Riviera Maya launched in 2006 in Mexico and by now travelled around the globe and connected with amazing artists and musicians is celebraring this year it´s 15 years milestone and we are hyper happy for this achievement releasing a massive compilation divided in 3 parts perfect to keep the momentum of this historic celebration.

The first part of the album welcomes Serkan Eles with a mid tempo groover perfect to open things up driving the direction for then to follow up with Taleman that delivers a more hypnotic track with mysterious synths and trippy chords perfect to start a set.

Following up the EP Gadi Mitrani from Turkey has nice number filled with emotion and meditative piano chords, uplifting sounds and a great vibe and energy.

Finally to close the release we have Cocho from Argentina spicing things up with a vocal house tune perfect for this open air raves and getting the girls into the dance floor.

DHAthens Premiere: Ilias Katelanos - Sabai Kid (Plecta Remix) [Keyfound]

@Nahuel-galaxx delivers his second release for @PlaygroundRecords cementing his own style through a mix of rock and electronic music. These two tracks are two characters ' Balboa' and ' Gordon' , located at the two corners of his musical spectrum.

Balboa takes us to Nahuel's New Wave influences, a both nostalgic and futuristic feeling. Post-punk and post-nuclear, Balboa is someones who hints to a devastated world, a desert. Whilst Gordon takes us to the night's peak time.  Gordon is a fat guy that steps strong, a man of few words and demolishing attitude, a blend of rocker techno for intense moments.

@TenienteCastillo leads the first remix of Balboa, dresses the track with black boots and a leather jacket to make it darker and wilder. The guitar amps light on with maximum distortion to create a dense atmosphere and take us for a ride through the most dangerous suburbs. Pure rock.

With Binda of Club Bizarre closing the EP with a space disco version of Balboa, making us dream about a trip to outer space, around the Earth, with celestial pads as cushions to land perfectly.

Sweden’s Jonas Rathsman present’s “No Surprise EP”, the follow up to his debut on Mobilee “Draumzer”. 

The smooth and somewhat hypnotic “No Surprise” delivers a percussive depth that will delight dancefloors and listeners alike. The haunting vocal story sets the scene for the rest of the EP, a standout addition to the melodic landscape of 2020.

“Fading Memories” has a refreshing air of late night adventure and party spirit, much needed in these current times. The kind of track you might expect from an artist championed by Pete Tong and who has remixed the likes of Bob Moses, Disclosure, London Grammar, Sam Smith and more; having released on such stalwart labels as Dynamic, KX, Crosstown Rebels and his own ELEMENTS.

It’s not hard to imagine that “Uno” comes direct from his Gothenburg studio complex built using mostly repurposed wood from the forest, which was featured by Fact Magazine and DJ Mag. It invokes a sense of connection and deeper meaning, a sensuous soundscape reminiscent of the light through trees; bringing the EP to a special close.

Jonas Rathsman - Uno

Magnitude Recordings was started by @francescopico in 2005. The label quickly gained international recognition in the tech house- and progressive house scenes, working with well respected artists such as Eelke Kleijn (as Backroom Boyz, a collab with Francesco Pico himself), Ferreck Dawn, Roell Sapphire, Harold Heath and Camiel Daamen to name a few, which gained a lot of DJ support. 

After a seven year hiatius the label returned in 2018 under de wings of the @manual-music record company. Freshly revamped and serving as a home for the sound Francesco Pico loves most; intelligent, groovy and rolling progressive house.
