Here's the recording of an ambient set I had the pleasure to play at Harvest Festival 2022 this fall. The gathering took place in a beautiful pine forest in Ontario and has been happening for over 20 years now.  

I would describe this set as Yin energy, a place where the rhythms are less dominant, which allows the storytelling to be experienced in a more calm environnement. It’s one of the most fulfilling moments that I felt in my music journey this year. 

In the sometimes chaotic and noisy world we live in, it feels somehow very healthy and natural to connect with these frequencies that are rooted, zen, earthy yet cosmic. A sonic safe space in which we can be present and breathe. 

Like my yoga teacher would say:  may the benefit of this session be shared with all beings in the world.

  I want to acknowledge the recording of this set was done in Burk’s Falls Ontario, on aboriginal land that has been inhabited by Indigenous peoples from the beginning. In particular, we acknowledge the Anishinaabeg territory.

Super grateful for all the amazing artists, musicians and composers who created the songs I got to play in this mix. I also really enjoyed meeting Andrew Interchill during that weekend and discovering his amazing ambient performance on the same night.

Bárbara Bandeira, Ivandro - Como Tu (Aycond & Mevil Remix)

What brings people together? Why do we make friends, form relationships and associate ourselves with one another? For love? Common interest? Gain? 

In the case of Frankey & Sandrino what brought them together was a sense of musical correlation, an understanding and realisation in something great. Since the duo formed in 2014 they have released an array of expertly crafted EP's on some of the most definitive record labels in electronic music. Mule, Kompakt and Innervisions have all opened doors to the pair and now they find themselves in a pioneering position amidst dance music.
