Two worlds collide as WHITNO1SE takes on TERRA in an almighty galactic battle resulting in apocalyptic new single ‘Astro.’ The two EDM voyagers return to Alteza Records for this latest collaboration. 

A spoken word sample depicts our journey through time and space whilst a rapid drumbeat prepares for take-off. The build introduces a grooving bass and snapping kicks that are fuelled with high-octane energy. 
Electrifying synth effects signal that a system override is pending and with a commanding vocal lead ‘Astro’ descends into an explosive drop. 

Hailing from Israel, WHIENO1SE has certified himself as a pioneering DJ/producer in the fusion of electronic dance music and psy-trance. 
A sound which he has taken to the globally renowned stages of Tomorrowland, EDC Vegas, A State of Trance and more. As for industry support, the likes of Nervo, Timmy Trumpet, Armin Van Buuren and Vini Vici have all got behind WHITENO1SE’s rocketing success. 

‘Astro’ co-producer TERRA is a fellow psy-trance producer from Isreal who has been DJing since he was just 15 years old. Since then, he has gone onto sign with Nutek Records and secure numerous artist collaborations including Ranji and Harmonika. TERRA displays a defiant momentum that is unlikely to slow down as we edge further into 2022.

First track from an upcoming album inspired by Shpongle's take on a chilled and down tempo approach to Psytrance with multi-continental influences.

production notes:
This started out with a narrative I wrote for the track about a lone figure that awoke without memory in a cave that appeared to be sentient, and inhabited ravers entranced by strange relics. The usual psychedelic trope stuff. I recorded the vocals myself, and used them to inform the initial arrangement of the track. It became evident that the story would result in a evolving and winding musical expedition. However, my voice really didn't suit it. So I used elevenlabs to generate a new AI version of the vocals - that are used here. Later I stripped most of the vocals out, however the story they informed is now the song.

Each track I make offers new challenges.. here I really wanted to shift genres and sounds a lot. It sounds quite basic, but there's a lot going on here from a bassline that absolutely isn't traditional psytrance (although the base pattern is inspired by "Robotoised" by Quirk), to shifting from saw bass, to square wave, to switching the whole thing up in to a Brazil-inspired shponglised breakdown - considering I had no knowledge of this musical style, let alone how to produce it. However the real challenge was finishing this track. The arrangement has been 'complete' for months now with me tweaking and trying to polish it up enough to release it. 

I also decided to make this a multi-part song. Again, inspired by Shpongle albums where tracks eb and flow between each other. Part 2 of this isn't included here, but I hope I can make it become a full mixed album. Something for later.
