Bear Walsh is an electronic music artist and sound engineer based in Vancouver, recognised for integrating deep house melodies with atmospheric components and captivating rhythms. His minimalist yet emotionally nuanced style has positioned him distinctively on SoundCloud, attracting thousands of listeners to his curated collection of mixes.

Bear started his musical journey in the late 1990s, undertaking studies in music production at Pulse Recording studios at the iconic “Windmill Lane” in Dublin, Ireland. This in turn laid the foundations of Bear’s extensive knowledge of audio engineering and his love for sonic storytelling.

Bear’s work is distinguished by meticulous percussion, sophisticated ambient synthesizers, and seamless melodic transitions. Recent releases reflect an advanced production methodology, combining technical excellence with immersive, multi-layered soundscapes.

Central to Bear’s artistic approach is an ethos of exploration—each mix serves as a carefully crafted auditory journey intended to facilitate both introspection and dynamic engagement among listeners. Whether producing late-night atmospheres or experimental deep tracks, Bear Walsh consistently challenges the boundaries of underground electronic music.

Having cut his teeth as one of the original resident DJs at the seminal Venus, Nottingham in the early 90’s, Christian went on to play at most major venues across the UK and Europe during the halcyon days. Early in the decade he was named ‘one to watch’ in MixMag, gained pride of place on the Face Magazines’ barometer of “What’s Hot and What’s Not” listed as “…a Balearic DJ who can mix…” and later was named DJ of the Month in i-D Magazine – which in turn led to a coveted place on their World Tour alongside Tony Humphries.

His career blossomed further in the ensuing years and bestowed him not only with the privilege of playing alongside such luminaries (and musical heroes) as David Morales, Roger Sanchez, Masters at Work and Danny Tengalia but also his original inspiration, Graeme Park. By the mid 90’s he established himself as a staple at the legendary Southport Weekenders and secured a monthly residency at the Ministry of Sound. A disco-tinged house sound rapidly became his trademark and was also prominent in his later production work under the Nu Soulboy moniker with remixes and releases coming through such labels as Virgin (VC) Records and Todd Terry’s SoundDesign imprint. More recently his production work has been reinvigorated with two tracks coming out during 2023 and further releases slated for 2024.

To this day, he continues to produce and DJ - remaining an ambassador for “soul-based music to dance to”.

Alispe is the sonic project of Álvaro Ortiz de Elguea Lope, also known as M4K1N6L00P5 or Álvaro Mayo, a producer and DJ based in Madrid with roots in Vitoria-Gasteiz. His musical universe dwells between dense textures, unpredictable structures and electronic landscapes filled with tension and beauty.

Moving fluidly between experimental techno, dark ambient and drum & bass, Alispe treats sound as a living material: layers and loops that evolve, erode and reconfigure with each listen. His approach is deeply artisanal, based on meticulous loop manipulation and sound design, building complex and organic sonic architectures.

Founder of the Berlin-based label Bubble of Independence, he promotes an independent and daring vision of electronic music, far from formulas and guided by constant curiosity. He does not follow a timeline or a predefined release plan: his work is a flow in continuous evolution, always seeking new forms of expression.

Alispe is an experience for those who explore electronic music as a language of depth, risk and transformation.
