New sub-imprint of Rua Sound, SPHERES initializes with Rome-based artist Noroi for a dark and raw 4 track of deep jungle and break cuts. Based on the Irish west coast, the label aims to provide a home for the moodier side of the hardcore spectrum beyond its preexisting Foxy Jangle and Rua Sound stations. 

Noroi's 'Transoceanic' combines forceful breakbeat arrangements with gliding uplifting synth backgrounds. A real hot stepper of the big beat proportion, this one goes  off.

'Train of Thoughts' is a bit deeper. More of a classic rolling progressive house cut this one. Super infectious and dancefloor effective. A lovely tension builder that opens up once the synths come in. Sounds like sunshine breaking through on a cloudy day.

London-based producer @prayerproduction is set to release a 3-track EP titled 'Io' on @rua_sound's SPHERES series. Following previous releases on esteemed imprints such as Hooversound, Black Acre, Grade 10, and Cult Music, Prayer is known for creating atmospheric jungle with an emotive energy that can range from poignant to ecstatic.

On the B-side, 'Reteoric' takes over with an epic jungle track that clocks in at just under 12 minutes. The emotive energy of this track serves as a fitting conclusion to the EP.

I'm originally from Glasgow, Scotland but moved to Canada in 2004. Started listening to Dance Music in 86, bought my first set of decks in 1995. Studied Contemporary Popular Music and Dance Music Production at James Watt College in Greenock, Scotland. My taste in Dance Music is very broad ranging from Techno to Drum & Bass.
