Russian hell raisers repping with raw clarity: few acts have shown such broad skills as Teddy Killerz. Since emerging two years ago, they’ve worked with some of the biggest names across D&B, glitch, trap, dubstep and beyond. In each and every instance they’ve demonstrated an innate understanding of all genres with alarming killer motifs.

Their debut EP for Program sees them return to the source. D&B is where it began for the trio, and it’s where they show their most muscular, mindbending musical skills. Appearing on Andy C’s ‘Nightlife 6’ in November 2013 with the pranged out ‘Impossible’, these four tracks will be smashing dancefloors worldwide.

We kick off with the stunning ‘Big Blow’. Truly unique, it combines sharp percussive elements and a waspish bassline with a deep funk hook that’s entrenched in dramatic pianos and jazzy organs. Timeless, distinctive and daring, there is nothing out there like this.

‘Jackyl & Hyde’ follows. A physical gritty groove slams and shoves with power while Coppa lays down crisp lyrical messages. Textured with intricate production elements and more of the trio’s emphatic drum dynamics, it’s an instant head-turner.

Next up: ‘Era’. Delving further into the darkness, the trio whisk us on a mission into deep space. Smelting elements of complex neuro production with classical, minimal funk, ‘Era’ weaves a tight sci-fi web that’s guaranteed to take your floor to another planet.

Finally we hit ‘Una Mattina’. Flipping the triplet switch with euphoric glee, what begins as a rush-fuelled star-gazer soon drops us head-first into another devious, bass-bitten workout. Swaggering with an infectious confident groove, we’re bombarded with an array of precision synth shots, sweeps and stabs, each element adding a wealth of funk to the overall vibe.

Living up to their name in a major way, Teddy Killerz really are killing it with these four shock-outs. It’s time, once again, to get with the Program!

Friction - Chimera

What began as shenanigans has grown into somewhat of a cult classic, so to speak. Enter the Legion Of Dong. To say it was the brainchild of anyone would be giving to much credit to brains, period. It pays more tribute to that things real men find behind their zipper when the have to piss. And the "brain" behind that is pure idiocracy and the "i just don't give a fuck" attitude… Trust us this story is going somewhere. 

One fine drunken evening, fellow drunken L.O.D. members Gigantor, of Evol Intent, GEIN members abel and saint, and former GEIN member butcher (now working under the guise of Blaqcix)  were at a party, and somehow Kemal's "Hostile" came up in the conversation. Being the true men that they are, they all decided that the tune really needed to get a good "fixing up", or L.O.D. makeover. We all know the stigma behind the original tune, never being released and all, but in this day and age with bootlegs being as popular as tweets and donks on shitty old cars, they all decided what the hell… and gave it a go. And boy did it go. Worldwide, the tune demolished dancefloors, and the masses began to wonder how they could get their hands on it… the tune… not the Dong itself.

Three years later, with feedback and buzz still stirring, L.O.D. decided it was just about time to offer it to everyone and speed the gospel. So hear you go ladies and gentlemen, Dongs can be nice guys too. Enjoy this tune, because we all still do.

It was the product of eons of research, an infinitely divisible weaponized molecule with the power to viciously disrupt at a granular level. Its innocuous smooth, red exterior glinted sharply under the labs harsh fluorescent lighting as it sat singularly ready, packed with the kinetic malevolence of its design. Subject 01304 sat with the wide staring eyes of a prey animal, small droplets of perspiration erupting from the pale skin of his face and shifting with the continual nervous twitching within his restraints. The faceless assistants administered the Redpill swiftly and without resistance as the observers watched with dark eyes, gazing without emotion upon their work. Inside the dark, moist interior of the subject, the pill’s casing split, its infernal contents spilling out, bonding with the subject’s biomatter, multiplying, attaching itself to each of his organic molecules, maliciously converting and evolving… hungrily devouring and pushing relentlessly towards the endstate of its design. The observers watched as the subject’s body distorted, heaving internally as he uttered inhuman sounds and twisted at his restraints. Black tendrils laced through the surface of his skin, suddenly tightening, before he both at once ruptured and imploded. The Redpill’s process was complete… amongst the carnage the tentacled black mass of teeth and gaping hollow eyes reached eerily towards the glass, the shadow of death in its wake.

EATBRAIN inducts its newest recruit in the form of French producer REDPILL, delivering 6 powerful slices of neurofunk (including a collaborative piece with Eatbrain veterans ZOMBIE CATS) for the CORRUPTION EP. From the ultrafunked heavy playfulness of FUNK DA POLICE, to the lemming-infused destructive tendencies of GROOVE DESTRUCTION and the jump-up flavoured neuro of I’M THE LAW, each layer delivers a unique and precisely crafted take on the genre with an unrelenting kinetic spirit. REPULSION, RED CAT and RABBIT unleash powerful strokes of hard-hitting d&b, giving the RED PILL a mighty backbone that’s perfect for annihilating sound systems and certainly set to devastate festivals throughout summer. Various Artists – Technique Goes to Let It Roll

The biggest drum 'n' bass event on Earth, bringing together tens of thousands of ravers and hundreds of artists over three days and nights, is Let it Roll. As if that wasn't insane enough, this August, the award winning Czech festival will be graced with a Technique Recordings Label Night. And, there's brand new music to mark the occasion properly.

Opening proceedings is a VIP relick of a tune from Drumsound & Bassline Smith's massive 2017 album “Wardance”. This version of “Control” ramps up the energy from the first bar, with insistently percussive synths leading the way. Then the pulsing, stomping drop, driven by a bassline with an extra layer of grit, is sculpted for maximum rave destruction. Explosive.

“Vybez” delivers us into a trademark Tantrum Desire cinematic opening. Expansive pads stretch into the distance as subtle hints of drum edge towards us over the horizon. There's no way you're going to see the dark, scything drop coming, with a screwface bassline that screams out for a reload. This is going to cut through sub-genre divisions and take heads off at the biggest festivals and grottiest raves alike.

Then Technique's latest recruits, No Concept, take to the stage. They've already proven capable of creating multiple styles, and with “Make Noize” they've built a monster. The long tension-ramping build supported by that “make some noise” sample writes a very big cheque, but the drop is more than capable of cashing it. The warping and twisting bassline, those gut-punch drums, and the adrenaline-shot fills combine into an absolute beast of a tune.

Finally L Plus gives us “Let Roll the World”. Gigantic uplifting arpeggios set the tone in the intro. The “let it roll” dialogue clip adds an extra boost of hype. And then there's an almighty drop which rattles off a full polyrhythmic ammo belt. A syncopated pattern in the bass weaves in and out of switching percussion instruments while a rock-solid kick and snare provide the scaffolding that holds it all together. Powerful stuff.

Even in this four-track mini-compilation, the strength and depth of production skill on show makes it very clear why Technique is such a revered label. And it also demonstrates exactly why their Label Night at Let it Roll in August is going to be unmissable.
