Luis Radio - The GB Theme (Original Mix)

Following the release of 'AHYEE / Blow' earlier in 2023, the Godfather of Techno Soul Eddie Fowlkes delivers another two-track package of genre-defying house drenched in Motor City inspiration. 'Talking To Me / Complex' is made for the underground; intricate polyrhythms and unique timbres synergise to create sonic euphoria for selectors in the know. For the lead track the Detroit master makes use of a distinctive spoken-word vocal over an expansive and rhythmically intricate accompaniment, celebrating the culture through expert sampling and production techniques. 'Complex' is more beat-focused, with a pounding four-on-the-floor pattern supporting driving synth rhythms. Since producing some of the very first techno records in the 80s, Fowlkes' has built a reputation as a constant innovator, and his ear for house music is undeniable.

With leagues of experience operating across the Detroit scene, Rimarkable is known for her unwavering knowledge of where electronic music comes from and where it is going. Growing up heavily influenced by Black gospel music, her selections as a DJ, producer and broadcaster bring together a wider understanding of funk, jazz, rock, gospel and soul that is unlike any other in the biz. 

For this latest release on Classic, the Afro-Latina from Detroit teams up with fellow curator, tastemaker out of NYC, SACRED H3ART. Founding member of R.E.A.D. and Ancient Deep, he emerged with a debut album last year that was met with critical acclaim. The American pairing invite you to experience the underground with ‘Complications’ - an effortlessly suave delivery of driving, floor filling house featuring spoken-word vocals from Rimarkable herself and bold production from two artists at the top of their game.
