If They Take Me

I’m YCTG23 but you can call me Ycthegreatest because I take my music so seriously that I took the time to get to know myself better so I can be able to talk the truth in my lyrics that I write because it’s coming from personal experiences and struggles. I was born in the Bay Area Oakland to be exact but Stockton ended up becoming my second home when my family and I moved out here back in 2010 because the bay is so expensive. Going through the everyday struggles of being a young black man living in America I found myself writing poetry and eventually that lead me to learning how to write music which I enjoyed because it was my outlet of my pain cause I wanted to be heard and seen. As a kid I use to go to the studio with my dad he use to sing so that also help me fall in love with music. But due to my dad having me and my siblings he couldn’t chase his dreams anymore of making music and touring family had to come first. Unfortunately in 2013 at the age of 49 my dad passed away due to lung cancer and I vowed to myself to complete the dream that he started. Life didn’t go the way I wanted and that lead me to going to prison for 7years which helped me perfect my craft. While I was in there I filled up 15 composition books to the top with complete songs of all types that people who come from where I do can relate to probably experience the same. But I’m not here to glorify the struggles and pain but give you a front row seat with your 3D glasses on to see and feel my pain and hurt I experience from life because your struggles can either paralyze you or motivate you and mine motivated me I’m destined for success and I know I am I’m just waiting for the right person to hear me and I know god will do blessings in my favor that I only dreamed of and believe me I can’t wait to be able to see my family happy and comfortable without and stress or worry. I was the first person in my family to start writing rap songs and actually trying to take it serious. And I’m go be the first person in my family to break this poverty curse and if you can help me I would truly appreciate it but in total honesty I just want y’all love and support for my music and I hope it help somebody out there. I don’t need a handout because just like good dope my talent will sell itself but if I can just get the one person who can open that door for me and let me in garunteed we will be some very successful people.
