Cause it’s never autumn and always spring. I still listen to alanis , ani, melissa etheridge, and twenty years ago jay brannan hand wrote his lyrics on my arm in New York & I tattooed them in place…
do you remember that song that went “you say…I only hear what I want to…” go listen to that with a lovers head on your lap & that’s my idea of blissed out daytime. I still like kings of leon at night but served with a chaser of okerville river or the decemberists but just the songs that sound like a drowned out dive bar behind a railway line & never the sexy fire radio ones that always make your mam bop her head along cause she loves it (but also there’s nothing better than when your mam bops her head along to something you made her listen to) Don’t bring her to the gig though - no one needs that. (Wait actually, that’s exactly what everyone needs - especially you & your ma.) The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill is probably the greatest piece of music created by humans since 1986 & I wore out the cd from listening to it too much so I moved on to a bootleg copy of nirvana’s incesticide that I stole from my weird half-step-brother when he was showering. Have you heard Moselle, she writes the type of lyrics that andrea gibson would’ve carefully copied out in her teenage diary to enshrine like scripture, just all full of dirty secret pains pulled from a siren throat like fishing hooks & raised like a white flag in a personal war zone, that real truth to power sort of stuff.  
I don’t know shit about music - but I always knew how to count the goosebumps on my arms like when tracy chapman first echoed out of a car radio to tell little boy me that all I have is my soul & I fucking believed her. there’s too many remixes left to love and loathe in the world but when I’ve listened to them all I want honey dijon to do a set at my funeral, or maybe that hot dj kaon I shagged in the basement dungeon sauna in berlin before he died of covid. It was a couple years before though he didn’t just die after I pulled out. So yeah mostly chilled, probably a little over opinionated and definitely full of notions
