This cover doesn't exactly follow the orginal melody. I played this song many times when I was a (little bit) younger. So I decided to make this cover on my memory of the song, so there are a few changes here and there. I didn't listen to the orginal song either while remembering and didn't use any sheets, so see this song as an experiment. Just wanted to see how it turned out if I played the song on my memory of it :)

Every non-working day I try to improvise at least 1 song. This is today's result. I don't want to overload my profile with improvisations so that's why I don't upload them every time. Improvisation IV

I heard this song for the first time in Shrek several years ago, that's why I decided to put the shrek album cover even though I know that there are many, many great covers and I believe Leonard Cohen is the original composer.

The first time playing the melody I want to keep it gently and peacefull, the second time with a bit more emotion and notes and the third time I changed the tempi a bit so that the final hallelujah chorus has more effect. Hope you'll like it :)

My main instrument is the Keyboard addicitonal i play, guitar, bass guitar, Bodhran and Guzheng,

I am also a Vocalist and songwriter, i sing in a band and a choir.

For Milco Huisman I edit and mix his Flute recordings. On these i add mostly melodics with piano or background FX to fill up the sounds into a full piece.
