DJ, avid B-movie collector, sometimes producer, always bourbon. 

I’ve been a DJ since the rave days of the early ‘90s playing Drum and Bass at the infamous Ultraworld parties and smaller clubs in Baltimore and DC. I found my place at the Cloudwatch parties, a series of downtempo, ambient live and DJ performances. I relocated to NC in the early 2000s and took the downtempo, warm warbly vibes like Boards of Canada, early MachineDrum, Xela, Deru among many others  with me. This collection of tracks are a few of many and I hope to upload more in the future.

In all those past years i had the honour playing gigs in some top Clubs or events like Oz-Club (Stuttgart) , Prag Club (Stuttgart), Ultraschall (Munich), Tresor (Berlin), Club 8.Mai (Chemnitz) ,Lehmann Club (Stuttgart) or Rhythm Factory (London), Loveparade 2000 (Berlin) and in additional i was for a while part of a weekly Electro-Show at the legendary Evosonic Radio in Munich.

Make Mistakes is an eclectic collective of artists, musicians, writers, entrepreneurs and DJs with a distinct love for music that is for dancing. They express this love via lovingly crafted parties, beautiful and entertaining podcasts, forward thinking and experiential techno, memory making performances, and the Make Mistakes label, which, you know, is what you're looking at right now. Pretty sweet.

Founder of Search + Rescue Productions, Gabe Ratliff (aka Gabriel, Lukos), started his love affair with music at the age of ten when he began learning music theory and playing drums, including concert band, orchestra, and marching band, where he was promoted to quad captain. Then he began playing the drum kit, which eventually lead to being in several rock bands at university as well as two national touring bands, Drop the Fear and A Shoreline Dream. While attending university, he also hosted a specialty DJ show for four years at the college radio station. Then he took to the stage and held down several residencies at night clubs and events all over the United States. After moving to Denver, Gabriel started producing and remixing music, including his EP, 'For All Intents and Purposes", and has played events and legendary clubs like Soma (Boulder), Beta Nightclub and The Church (Denver). He was a co-founder of the bands 'Drop the Fear' and 'A Shoreline Dream' (ashorelinedream.com), and produced a remix for the "Love is a Ghost in America" single available on iTunes, which appears on ASD's first album, Avoiding the Consequences (2006). Gabriel is a member of Asvins with fellow artist, sonaQular (Holy Moly Festival, Deeper Secrets).
