In October 2015 we released Aïsha Devi's Of Matter and Spirit LP. The album encapsulated the spiritual metamorphosis and transcendental journeys of this otherworldly figure. The Swiss/Nepalese-Tibetan producer mentions Sufism and Tibetan monks as her major influences. Aïsha Devi published the LP under her birth name, adding further integrity and candor to this already intimate piece. Houndstooth now returns with the Of Matter and Spirit remixes EP to remind us about the sonic wonders hidden in Aïsha Devi's debut album. 

Irish duo @lakker open the cast of remixers with their take on Anatomy of Light adding a heavy dose of syncopated percussion. No Pain In Pop/New Ninja Tune signing @throwingshade transforms Kim & the Wheel of Life – Aïsha Devi's comment about contemporary idols being channels of commerciality rather than spirituality – into a session of brief introspection. 

The remix EP also boasts two reworks of Aïsha's hit single Mazdâ. Berlin's @mindbodyfitness interprets the track as a whirlpool of trance. The cherry on top is this spooky Killing Sound (@blackest-ever-black) version of Mazdâ with grime MC Rider Shafique and Bogues. 

The Aïsha Devi remixes EP exhibits the ethereal beauty within Of Matter and Spirit and should give more club airplay to this singular artist who perceives music as just another form of meditation.

Aquarius Heaven is Brian Brewster, an artist brought up between Texas and the Caribbean who has laid down some compelling, socially and politically minded verses on magical EPs for labels like Wolf & Lamb and Circus Company.

Fusing reggae, dancehall, house and hip hop he is a unique talent who has also worked with dOP, Miss Kittin, Ryan Crosson, Art Department, Mathias Kaden and many more.

Today's exclusive premiere, ‘Nan Nan Nay,' finds Brewster linking with Jamaica Suk (a fast rising Berlin talent, trained musician and machine music lover who appreciates jazz and shoe gaze amongst other sounds) and Damien Vandesande. The resulting track is full of fat bass, blurting synths, pained patois vocals from Brewster and a ramshackle groove that is perfectly off kilter and brilliantly organic and authentic. The digital bonus track is a dub version without the vocals which places even more emphasis on the fine synth work and boom bap of the drums.

"Life Worth Living" is available 4 April on Rhythm Cult.

First up we have a serious slice of Lo-Fi action on the new label Mint Tea, the EP features 4 tracks from the likes of Moda, Raär, James Henry and Trudge. Here's Raär's Love Remix of Moda's track Contemporary Reality from it, this ones full of heavy kicks, dusty hats and makes fantastic use of an old Sade sample. The sub bass in this one really fucking grabs at you....and you can't help but love it!!

MWU EXCLUSIVE: Moda - Contemporary Reality (Raär Love Remix)[Mint Tea]

After the success of Ost & Kjex's brilliant new album "Freedom Wig" on Diynamic, the trendsetting house label has revisited it with the help of some talented remix artists. Rampa, Christian Löffler, Johannes Brecht and label head Solomun all turn out their own version of the originals and the results are sure to be played and danced to far and wide this summer. 

Up first, Keinemusik label founder and Berlin talent Rampa flips "Honky Tonk" into a majestically slow burning and sumptuous Electronica cut with pained chords and magic melodies.

The boss Solomun then steps up with another epic effort for "Queen Of Europe" that is nearly eight minutes of tantalizing Deep House with rubbery drums and molten chords all underpinning a sensuous vocal line from Anne Lise Frøkedal. It is a standout and emotive track that will mark the high point in any set. 

Ki Records boss and organic techno talent Christian Löffler then sends shivers up the spine with his autumnal and blissed out remix of "Down River". Featuring woody claps, serene strings and shimmering synths it is a deep and romantic number that will warm you right though.

Last but not least, Johannes Brecht serves up a perfectly synthetic and abstract acoustic version of "Heart Of Gold" that is subtle but highly impactful.

Premiering on DHA is Stimming - a skilled producer and live performer at large-scale festivals, intimate club settings, and 4D soundsystems in every inhabited continent.

Stimming acquired a grip for music at an early age, picking up violin, piano and drums at the age of 10 and later moving on to computer production at the age of 16. He met Solomun and Adriano when he first moved to Hamburg, and started to release on Diynamic when it began in 2006. Thereafter, he released his first LP, ‘Reflections’ on the imprint in 2009, followed by 2011’s ‘Liquorice’ and the self-titled ‘Stimming’ in 2013.  Such is his devotion to his craft that he recently went on a trip across the wintery North sea in a cargo ship - all to develop his live show for the upcoming Alpe Lusia tour this April.

For the recording of his fourth album on Diynamic, Stimming travelled to a remote hut in the Italian Alps in isolation. Stimming is well known for his love of sampling and live field recordings, none of which he ever uses twice. Perhaps one of Stimming’s other most characteristic features is his classical training – he once reworked his track ‘November Morning’ into a classical arrangement, with the Brandenburgisches Staatsorchester performing and recording the result.

With a worldwide tour of his new live show on the horizon, Stimming is ready to introduce audiences to his way of doing things. 'Alpe Lusia’ LP will be available via Diynamic April 29th 2016.
