The long-awaited first official LP from Michigan-based producer Sango, North, will release digitally on Soulection July 23, 2013 with vinyl to follow. 

Sango’s North brings forth a new sound, one that pulls from soul, rnb, future bass, hip hop and broken beat fusing them together with seamless vocals chops and grooves. North features collaborations from a diverse group of artists like Australia’s Ta-ku, cinematic downtempo producer Atu, nu-soul singer JMSN, story-telling rapper WALDO, newcomer vocalist Brea and Dpat who produced ‘Remember You’ for Wiz Khalifa and The Weeknd. 

Following major worldwide support for his refixes, EP’s and beat tapes from the likes of Brownswood’s Gilles Peterson, KCRW’s Aaron Byrd, and Noisey (VICE) to name a few, Sango is poised to elevate the definition of what “future” music is. 

10+ casual releases later, North combines the best of Sango over the last few years into one seamless musical journey. North is a love story of two people, on a journey, who find better things in themselves when they are with each other. North in Hebrew as noted visually in the album art [that Sango designed himself], representing a sense of “heaven” or “glory” are symbolic to Sango, as he sees everything he does an artist for the greater glory, the greater good, as something bigger than himself.

The first Deeper Shades Recordings release in 2015 is straight for the dance floor. 
Soulful vocals by South Africa's VaalSow and DJ Sue remixed and complimented by powerful beats, a mesmerizing baseline, beautiful strings and chords from Spain's DeejayKul. 

Ultra Tone are no strangers to the Deeper Shades Recordings label. First you took notice of Ultra Tone in 2011 by way of the ingenious DJ Cuebur feat. Nathan X "Walk A Mile" remix. Since then South Africa's Soul Candi hired Ultra Tone's V.Underground to supply the music for their Candi Roots Vol.2 compilation as well as releasing Ultra Tone singles.

DeejayKul is also a familiar name to Deeper Shades fans hearing his releases and remixes on labels like Atjazz Record Company, Local Talk etc. frequently on Lars Behrenroth's Deeper Shades Of House radio show.

Lee Gomes best known for his work as Wipe The Needle has joined together with Lee Robinson his close studio friend for their first release on Makin' Moves under the artist name Lee Van Kleef. The track has a lovely rhythmic vibe to it and features one of the most soulful vocals in music, Lifford Shillingford. 

Lifford is probably best known for his work with Artful Dodger on their club hit 'Please Dont Turn Me On' and also has worked on other tracks with Lee Gomes under his Wipe The Needle guise. 

The package also features remixes from Realtone main man Manoo from Lyon in France taking the track to deepest South Africa with deep hypnotic beats and driving beats.

On Saturday 29th September, London's biggest Soulful House night “Groove Odyssey” celebrates its 3rd birthday, and to mark this momentous occasion, we will be throwing another massive party at “PROUD2” in London's world famous O2. Once again no expense has been spared, as we bring you for the very first time in London playing on the same bill, headlining our main room – House Legends Louie Vega and Kerri Chandler! Also flying in for an exclusive performance will be the unmistakable soulful voice of Julie McKnight who will be performing some of her hits. There will also be a Groove Odyssey Records showcase in the main arena with performances from some of our artists.

Room 2 is Eighties Soul, Funk and Disco with a special guest PA from Pauline Henry (Chimes) performing her 80's hits alongside DJ Bigger and guests.
