He emerges with a refined underground sound. Developed from going back to basics and digging for hard to find vinyl records. Spanning a variety of house and techno sub-genres, he retains his trademark style and effortless groove.

In a music career almost two decades deep, Samu.l has played some of the best clubs and events in the world. Every room at fabric and FUSE in London. Watergate and Renate in Berlin. New York. Ibiza. Moscow. Johannesburg. And many major cities across Europe.

BIO:
Progress Inn is the DJ/production duo consisting of Janko Dragovic and Igor Kadic. Both guys, originally from former Yugoslavia, after many years of living in Perth, Australia, are now back in Serbia. As Progress Inn, they make and play a variety of music, but their main sound is a blend of progressive, house and techno with the main ethos that it has to be groovy and it has to be deep.

They started DJ-ing together and releasing their music in 2008. In 2009 they embarked on their first European tour. They delivered their trademark energetic sound around Europe, appearing at gigs in Spain, Slovakia and Serbia. They played to crowds who fell in love with their music as much as people from Perth! In 2010 they established themselves firmly as one of Perth’s favourite acts culminating in the appearance at Stereosonic Festival, which was followed by their appearance at Future Music Festival and Creamfields in 2011 and 2012.

Ranking number 1 in the Perth Dance Music Awards in the Best Progressive DJ category in 2010 and 2011, Progress Inn gigs have been hailed by many as exceptional. In their sets Igor and Janko seamlessly weave their broad musical influences through energetic and groovy music that always has the dance floor burning. By utilising two laptops and MIDI controllers, they manage to create a rich sound and emotive atmosphere that is quite unique. They have supported numerous world class acts such as Hernan Cattaneo, Sasha, Timo Maas, James Zabiela, Lee Burridge, Guy J, Robert Babicz, Radio Slave, Xhin, Satoshi Tommiie, 16 Bit Lolitas, James Holden, Stephan Bodzin, Yousef, Kasey Taylor and Jamie Stevens to name a few. 

Their productions have been getting a lot of attention as well getting played by many big names in the industry like Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Cid Inc, Anthony Pappa, Kasey Taylor, Marcelo Vasami etc. To date they have had releases on some fantastic labels like Vapour, Sound Avenue, Lowbit, Temporum, Suffused and many more. They also run their own label, Obstacles Recordings, which they use to promote all sorts of quality music.

Expect to hear the name Progress Inn a lot more in 2014 as they take on Europe and the rest of the world!

AC Souljah, born in the tiny balkan country of Montenegro moved to Perth, Australia at a young age. Having first listened to electronic music and hip hop at the age of 11 his musical path was set. 1996 saw him attend his first rave when Jungle was rearing its head in Perth. 

After a short stint on the Perth MC circuit, he got behind the decks in 2000 spinning liquid drum and bass and a healthy dose of hip hop. Things havent changed much since then, he still loves melodic, vocal and liquid drum and bass.

Highly influenced by the harder edge purveyors of electronic music, such as Adam Beyer, Chris Liebing, Robert Hood and Jeff Mills, Makitan is the fresh blood emerging in the 4/4 scene. His surgically accurate technical skills and a strong sense of how to create a vibe with his sets is a must experience for every clubbing enthusiast. Be it introductory or a peak hour party set, Makitan will create the right atmosphere for the right time, every time! Makitan's musical style reflects his eclectic influences—from high-energy total serialism to a wide range of ethnically diverse music — all distilled down to intense, crystalline techno. He doesn't let himself be limited to only this, instead combining tech house, nu-disco, deep & soulful house, and progressive styles to create a new sound that reaches higher state of musical bliss and provides the feeling of epic proportions.

In 2011 Makitan finished a runner up in Habitat DJ competition which really launched him onto the Perth scene. Regular bookings for some of Perth’s premier underground nights and events include Lucid Dreaming, Habitat, Boomtick, PeopleWhoPlay, Maiko, Limelite, LOKAL, Fore and Club Paradiso only to name a few. Recently, Makitan has also been expanding his horizons to include warm up sets for international acts such as Dave Seaman, SIS, Paul Oakenfold, Ado & Modek, Digitalism, Shapeshifters, Adrian Lux, Wynter Gordon and others.

2011 also saw Makitan team up with his childhood friend Dario Krsic (El Dario) to form a duo known as ShaDDow Brothers which has been energizing Perth’s special events such as boat parties and rooftop parties all over Perth last summer. The close friendship of these two and familiarity with each other’s styles can be clearly felt on the dance floor as they come, play and tear the roof away as ONE.
