Hungry hits the ground running and kick starts 2016 with an excellent two-tracker by N’to.

For the release’s title track “Note Blanche” N’to further explores his shimmering, melodic & adventures deep house affection. Precise rhythms lead the way through a mystic moonlight atmosphere, while his trademark percussion sounds complement the synth and pad layers in perfect style.  

The playful “Meanwhile in Rio” tune takes a slightly different route. The groove has a distinctive shuffle and the timbres are vivid, offsetting extremely-smooth sub frequencies. The organic wooden sounds N’to created run along nicely with the classic organ melody.

Hungry Music has the kind of waterproof musical aesthetic that not many labels with under twenty releases under their belt have. The output is bold and atmospheric at same time. Travels through misty soundscapes are just one of their trademarks. The french label established its sound through a close circle of friends - namely, Worakls, N’to & Joachim Pastor.

It’s now time to let some of the most powerful recent releases get re-interpreted through six exclusive remixes.

The Hungry gang took on each others work and also invited luminaries and friends of the label such as Oliver Koletzki, Einmusik and Boris Brejcha to provide a mix for the first in a series of upcoming remix EPs.

N'to - Chez Nous (Joachim Pastor Remix)

Rising Brazilian producer Gabriel Moraes takes on We Wombats in the studio, creating a dark atmospheric interpretation of the original by Ark-E-Tech & Käse Kochen whose collaboration EP "FAUNA" is due late January. In it's promo period the track caught the attention of Brazilian techno pioneer Victor Ruiz who went on to premiere the remix during his performance at ADE | Amsterdam Dance Event. This is a true milestone for Gabriel and Bassic Records.

We are very excited to publicly release this remix, a beautiful beast, following Bassic Records' incredible tour of Gabriel Moraes through Australia in December 2016. During the tour Gabriel forged magnetic dancefloors in Melbourne (Recovery Collective), Brisbane (Brazucas), Sydney (Aphotic Warehouse and 43 Degrees / WeLove), Byron Bay (Apoteka) and at Subsonic Music Festival as the headliner of the El Stompo stage.

Through cross collaboration between artists and back catalogue of records, perfectly resembling the close affiliation between the two Australian labels: Recovery Collective and Bassic Records - we are proud to present you with the Symbiosis VA compilation.

Two of Australia's rising techno imprints have found Symbiotic balance in their contemporary collaboration project that includes an extensive Various Artist compilation featuring 12 tracks and 24 artists, plus a 3-stop Australian tour priming their dominance of the scene, including a series of remixes from each of the labels respective back catalogs, featuring:

Amuze, Ark-E-Tech, Axon, Bongani, Concrescent, Cultured Link, Doppel, Dylan Carroll, Handsdown, John Baptiste, Jydn, Kalil, Käse Kochen, Leigh Boy, Liam Sieker, Matt Dwellers, Monotreme, Placeholder, Prosdo, Ramsi, Samwise, Shantaraam, Somersault, TAYA, Terminus43, Waveback and Zombie Apocalypse.

Floating somewhere between melodic, psychedelic and progressive, influenced by elements of the thriving outdoor techno sound of Australia and the hard scene of an underground dwelling in dark clubs.

Built on such similar ethos and with a growing relationship bound by sound, it seemed natural for the labels to take another step forward by forging a unique project of music publishing and cross promotion.
