On peut dire sans trop de mal que la base rythmique de Zi Elektrik Beez vient du trip-hop, sur laquelle viennent se greffer toutes sortes d’influences, jazz, musique électronique, musique de film, rap us, rock et dub.
Ainsi, tout en s’inspirant de beaucoup de genres existants et d’artistes comme Wax Tailor, Siriusmo, Modeselektor, Miles Davis, Chet Baker, Pink Floyd, Radiohead, Justice, Daft Punk ou Archive, les cinq membres que sont Romain Simard (Guitare, Chant), Lucien Henry Urso (Clavier), Hakim Rahouani (Laptop), Emilien De Bortoli (Saxophone, Violoncelle) et Etienne De Bortoli (Trompette) tentent de faire passer une émotion transcendante en travaillant un côté innovant et expérimental. Le son est donc souvent riche comme sur « Tricky Wackey » ou « Connexion 71ʹ′s » et composé de nombreuses pistes superposées, mêlant voix, instruments et samples électroniques.

I am a hip-hop/electronic artist from central minnesota. I have a background in hip-hop beat making but lately my style has started to become more ambient. My influences everything from Dj Premier and The Alchemist to Fleetwood Mac and The Talking Heads and everything in-between. I would say I'm a fan of quality music of any genre.
