Malantè, the moniker of Teddy Read is beginning to stamp his sound within the Tech House industry. Premiering his first release in 2018, Teddy achieved his first step of the journey to creating the sounds we know him for today. 2019 saw Teddy take on a large-scale increase in sets, going from playing just two in 2018, to sixteen! This only increased the motivational drive to work on his productions, thus leading to the signing of his Hold it EP, which dropped on the Mexican label “Dope & Dense”. 

Sets fell silent throughout 2020, as the covid outbreak suppressed all forms of arts. However, this created a huge opportunity for Teddy to work on his productions, with him signing a colossal 23 tracks throughout the year! This also enabled him to gain his first ever Beatport Top 10 with his track “Set Free” of which received support from; Sam Divine, Kryder, Don Diablo and many more! 

At the end of 2020, Teddy decided it was time to move on from his current place and create a new alias! November saw Teddy completely rebrand himself, taking his time to improve his productions and generate a sound that will showcase his music around the world. Unfortunately, 2021 was turning out to be a tough year to get his music out there, struggling with motivation and self-belief, Teddy nearly called it a day on producing and performing. After a few months away, he returned with a fresh mindset, and starting creating some of his best work! The final quarter of 2021 saw Teddy release his music with some huge labels, including “Material Series, Feel Hype Black, and Be One Records” 

With plenty more tracks to be released in 2022, who knows where we will discover his music next!

With such critical acclaim for his music the last couple of years have seen releases on Suara, Armada and a 3 track EP on Steve Lawlers VIVa, with 2019 set to be even bigger with his next release on London Records Believe music imprint, a stomping remix of the Stretch & Vern classic ‘I’m Alive’ and kicking off the years gigs opening the terrace for the biggest party promoters in the world; elrow at their original Barcelona home club alongside heavyweights Claptone and Fisher, with an incredible set that earned him the love of all at elrow and seriously high praise with a hug and a handshake from Juan Arnau Snr the father of the elrow family!
